Did you guys know that the Dukes of Hazzard is in the final stages of post-production and is due to be released in June of this year?

You guys might think I'm a crazy person, but I grew up watching the Dukes every Friday night. I was gonna grow up and marry Bo Duke. I was one of the people that laughed when I noticed that Martha Kent's email in Smallville is the license plate number of the General Lee.

However, I'm a bit... taken aback... at the choice of casting for the Dukes movie. Johnny Knoxville as Luke Duke and Seann William Scott as Bo Duke? Johnny Knoxville?!

Okay, maybe I'm part of the generation that just doesn't "get" Jackass. Maybe I think he's just a crude monkey with no vestiges of the basic instinct for self-preservation. Maybe I don't want the memory of Luke Duke sliding across the hood of the General Lee tainted by an idjit.

They'll fuck it all up, I have no doubt. Hollywood is so completely out of ideas that they'll remake (i.e. bastardize) anything and everything they can think of and don't really give a rat's ass if it's good or not. They just cast at least 1 or 2 well known "stars" (not that Knoxville could be classified as such) and hope that opening day will at least bring in enough to make some money. Morons. It'll suck, and I won't be wasting my money or time watching it.

I think it's just this generations of taking a campy 70's movie and making a campy 05's movie. I'm sure I won't lose any sleep over how this nugget of gold was "raped" by the remake :roll:

Lol who they got slated to play Boss Hogg and Cletus? Will we see the return of Flash?! Or will they sub in some stupif f***ing giant fluffy dog for audience "appeal"?!??!


I grew up watching this show every friday night too and the thought of Hollywood remaking this with *gag* Jessica Simpson on the bill makes me wanna vomit up everything I've eaten since i was 4.

I am saddened by the fact that they are "bastardizing" this show into a movie. i never got to watch the show alot, but i know it was great. And this just screws it all up... :(

They should've gotten her sister. Her facial expressions are just confusing, so to avoid a headache we'd be staring at her ass.
