PSA and Commercials in general

Postby Pale » Thu Jun 13, 2013 5:54 pm

So on the main page you have Media recorded show and skits, nothing is in either one but at some time are we going to be able to listen to them whenever? I mean the Tequila one is I think my favorite and the Diamond one. The Problem is when they start when I’m listening usually by the time I get one of my coworkers over to hear it, its usually half over or done and on to the next song and I really want to share them with the people I work with. So they can get a good laugh out of them as I do every time I hear them, or the look of “OMG you’re a creeper” either or would be good for me.

Anyway keep up the great work guys makes my work day fly by with good music and even better Commercials :P

Well it is true that we haven't used that link as yet. It is more of a placeholder than anything since our sister station in AO does have some skits up on their site (note these are not the commercials you're looking for, but rather comedy sketches). However, I have an idea on a possible use for that link coming in the not so distant future, but right now that's all I can say. :D

In the meanwhile, if you download the gridstream player, it does have a "record" feature so you can always record the ones that you like for your own use.

I hope that helps!

and wouldn't they be more like Commercial Spoofs? since they are advertising something though that something isn't real :P

but anyway thanks and I do look forward to whatever you are planing for them placeholders :P

Hmmm...You know I've not really played around much with the record feature on the gridstream player. Can you tell me what format it does record in?

it records in a ACC+ or somthing like that I'm not sure off hand since I'm at work, and the fomat that IPod imports is differant and I tryed to change it but wasn't working right probably more on the lines that I don't know what I'm doing lol.

and I think it has to or from the sites I was looking at stated that I would have re re-import all my music on my Ipod in the same format which might make the quality of my other music sound worse, so I didn't mess with it to much since I'm not sure where I got alot of the music on my Ipod, amd don't want to lose anything lol.

Stupid Apple products!

Sadly I'm not much of techie person or an Apple fan. However, somehow or other they decided to put me in charge of iPad and iPhone support for my department at work. Which doesn't actually mean that I can help you, except see my first comment because that's pretty much how I feel after responding to a tech call. :D

That said, let me hunt around a bit and see if I can't get some advice for you. (and if I can't perhaps our Gridstream Player developer, Gridfan, can. *pokes Griddy with a stick*

it's not a huge deal, though would be sweet to have GSP on my Ipod, but with the GSP player working like a charm on the PC at home and my Driod working great playing GSP at work I'm pretty set lol.

I'm not much of a techie person either, Hardware I'm pretty good with but if it's having trouble working with the software i'm usually pretty lost (thank god for Plug and play) :D

If it's just the parody ads you're after, then yeah, what he said. It's easier to download them than to convert the recorded stream and then cut out the segment you want. Some of the original GSP promos are pretty cool, but they're probably not the ads you're looking for. If you still want a free and easy audio converter, there are plenty of them out there. I've used one called "AnyAudioConverter" to convert GSP's AAC+ stream to MP3. It was a little over-simplified for my taste, but it did the job and it was free.
