I don't think there's any harm with posting links to places people could look into streaming their own music... after all, there's a lot more to it that just finding the software...
Besides, I'm all for people who think "hah, I could do better than this" to look into what's needed to set up a sucessful, stable, ~legal~ stream AND be a good DJ that people actually want to keep coming back to listen to week after week after week... because they're quickly going to find it's not nearly as easy as it seems, and the reason GSP makes it look so simple is that behind it all is a lot of talent and a heck of a lot of hard work!
Also, while GSP covers a lot of ground, it can't be all things to all people - it'd fall flat if it ever tried that. Meaning there are going to be people out there who love music, are interested by the possibilities of internet radio, and would be good at it, but for whatever reason (musical tastes, personality, methodology, availability, whatever) just wouldn't be able (or want) to fit at all into the current GSP format. And if any of them were to end up creating something amazing of their own because of something they read on here, well that's brilliant.
But for future reference, starting a post on a GSP forum with "Who needs GSP?" is unlikely to make friends and influence people...
