Massive Monthly Online Ark & Testers Party (MMOATP)

Postby Acushla » Sat Aug 19, 2006 10:44 pm

as a resident of the testserver I enjoyed the Monthly party during the previous months as was looking forward to August`s event, after looking over the calendar for last couple of weeks (and even cruising the forums here) I am forced to ask the question. Who hid the MMOATP?

The test server, also known as RK0, where upgrades and patches are throroughly prodded, poked and shaken before being unleashed on the regular live dimensions. Populated by lots of hard working testers who spend all their time poking, prodding and shaking things to see if they fall apart or not, apart from the third Sunday every month when they kick back and chill out with GSP, when the regular Sunday DJ's all bring their shoed live from RK0.

Anyone can set up an account to play on the Test Server, by following the instructions here:

http://www.anarchy-online.com/content/c ... ometester/

You get to see upcoming changes to the game in advance, help be part of the development and testing process... and if you can help in spotting any problems, you get Bugsie (possibly Bugsy - I've only heard it said, never seen it written) Points, which you can trade for all kinds of really cool stuff... only on the Test Server. You can also just come to the party, chill out, and tell all the regular Bug-hunters what a great job they are doing :D

fyi it is in fact Bugsy (not sure who came up with the name) and I am not sure I would Say it is Populated by alot of hard working testers, just a nice collection of Council of Testers (CoT) members a few ARK Bug-Hunters, and a semi-dedicated group of testers with alot of alts :).

oh, and of course we do get to meet a few members of the FunCom Team responsible for fixing what falls apart when poked, prodded and shook-up.
