I dunno, I'm a bit leary. Kevin Smith's track record ain't so hot lately. J&SB go to Hollywood...or whatever it was called. Stinky. Then that one he did with Aflek as the mommy daddy....that was wierd. I'll watch Dogma all day long, don't get me wrong, but I have a bad feeling about CII.

GAWD!! I'm not even suppose to be here today! :P

I have to agree with Otori, I'm a little iffy on this one. I mean, it's Clerks II. The sheer selloutish, career-ending concept of making a sequel to Clerks has been the butt of a thousand Kevin Smith jokes since he made the first one.

Which, I suppose on some level, made it an inevitable thing. But at the same time, just...overdoing the gags.

Still, it's Smith. Even in the movies I didn't like, there was a genius-level quotable liner every 15 minutes, at the worst. And ... well ... it's Smith, man.

So yeah, I'll go see it just the same. But I'm not expecting it to be any better than J&SB was on the front-to-back review.

er...ummm... I saw a preview for this movie, but I didn't even know there had been a Clerks 1. When did it come out?

Well you naysayers I say Nyah! ;p

I never saw Jersey Girl. Think that was his first and only time he fell off the bicycle. Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back may not be his best, but was still damn good.

And Dogma just might be his ultimate best.

I'm confident that, even if it doesn't live up to our expectations, Clerks 2 will still be quite a funny movie that will be worth seeing.

Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back also required that you had seen the other movies to really understand some of the jokes, like the pretzel.

Watched today. I'm pleased to say that my doubts were unfounded. There was Clerks and then there is now Clerks II. Dante and Randall begin where they left off....the dialouge was more than I was hoping for. Ass to Mouth, The Trilogy, and Moving to Florida was all covered with gravy on top. I'm glad that Mr. Smith put this to bed, as it it one great ride. My farkin' god, if only movies were made more like this....with lots of smart talk and a little less BOOM. I WILL own this DVD, legally, even if it's for Pillow Pants. Go see it my friends, it is good.

In my local circle of friends, we occationally bring up the topic of converging for a Kevin Smith Movie night. And since I've never seen Clerks, it may need to happen before I'm to allow myself to see Clerks 2. :-D

Honestly, you really don't need to see clerks one for clerks 2 to be entertaining. Although, it would help a bit :).

Holy shit was this movie awesome...GO! SEE! IT! Kevin Smith is pure genious and there is nothing short of that in this film.

*Applauds Kevin Smith*
