I got a Wacom!!

Postby Firia » Sun Apr 16, 2006 9:12 am

What's a Wacom you ask?

I'm glad you did! :P Wacoms are drawing tablets for your computer! You can use them to hand draw (with lots of simularities in painting) things on your computer! Ever try to draw with a mouse? It sucks.

Well, I've got gotten a Wacom Intuos 3 9x12 inch drawing tablet! That's one of the bigger & newer models for those that don't know. ;) And totally hawt.

Well, all I've ever done is drawing. Pencil (or pen) + paper = my experiance. I've done painting and charcol, but those really arn't for me. Drawing here is a new media of art. And as such, I can't expect to be super-artist from the get go. But I can practice! And practice I did!

Here's a 50% done progress picture followed by the mostly done picture.

I love my Wacom tablet. I'd rather not draw at all (digitally) then have to do it with a mouse. The pressure sensitive pen tablet is the only way to go.

Can you draw a picture of the wacom itself or would that make it wink out of existence?

It would be kind of like putting two mirrors, facing each other, in the microwave and turning it on high: it'll work, but you might end up accidentally meeting Cthulhu in the process.
