Bah! They want to scale back national testing to 110 or so specimens a day. Currently our lab is testing 200-300 specimens a day, and that's just our one lab, out of dozens...

So our government's idea of helping our well being is to limit research that could deal with it? That blows Foxy. :(

And ya know, I'm as American when it comes to having our Gov fund lots of big crazy high tech stuff to kill people..but ya know, I'd like to be alive to see it! They need to look to our well being, too.

And I am really peeved with the beef and chicken issues. That leaves fish and pork, and I hate pork.

While it isn't a good thing on a whole, I do understand the underlying reason why they are choosing to do this. While they are down scaling the testing on mad cow they have requested an increase and new funding for testing of bird flu. Which currently is the media buzz scare.
Why give flowers to anyone? They wilt, they die the dry out.

While it isn't a good thing on a whole,

Honestly, on the whole, I could give a rats ass about what the USDA chooses to fund. The reason this sucks for me is that this is what I do for a living, and cutting the funding means Foxy comes home without a job...

That's a requirement for GSP membership

Do you have a broadband connection? :check:

Can you stream music over the web? :check:

Are you employed in a job dealing with inspecting dead animal brains? :check:

You're hired!

Have you talked to your employer Foxy? I know this sounds bad for your industry and I know you must feel its especially bad considering that you're the new kid on the block. But maybe your employer can shed some light on things. Maybe they'll cut back hours instead of letting people go. Granted, cutting back isn't what you want to hear either, but its better than no job. It also means you're still earning and have time to look for something else.

Yeah... just trying to be optimistic here. *huggles and hopes for the best*
