New Graphics Card = Yum!

Postby Innari » Mon Feb 13, 2006 2:33 pm

Got a much better graphics card than I was using. Cranked the qualities way up on AO and oohhhh pretty.

Did you know characters had different markings on their faces? And people actually have pupils?

Rubi-Ka's grass is not one shade of green?

Clothing is not a solid color?

MP Demons aren't just a blob of clay? They actually have scaly chests!

And and and!!! I stood in the center of a party last night, probably 15 people and my fps was around 19! Typically it's around 2. :P And that's with everything way low on the texture/quality board.

Can't wait to actually spend some time at a show with graphics like this!

Are too.

Rayeni, just needed to pop the old card out and plug the new card in. I had a 2nd video card installed in a PCI slot, which I left in. That may be what caused my problems.

I have a shiny new graphics card sat on my desk, just waiting for me to have time to fit it. Or bribe a tame techie...

Admittedly "shiny new" in this case means about a million years old, but since this computer is about a billion years old I'm hoping it will still perform some kind of miracle...

If you need to do that...then...you did something wrong. :P Shouldn't need that at all. Phillips Head Screw Driver and you're golden. And of course, you need Mivat too. He's the key.

I had a change to play the game on my brothers computer, which actually is my old one. I've been using my laptop always before. The difference in craphics was just unbelievable. I've always thought that the game looks great but dauuymn... all the details and color changes and shadows... I need to get that machine back.
