When you...., You might be an addict.

When you jack a GSP stream into your phone systems music on hold, you might be an addict.

Now, I'm fairly new to the GSP scene(1 month), but grew an addiction quickly. I was curiuos if there is anyone else doing strange things to get their GSP fix.

*light bulb* A 1-800# where GSP listeners can prerecord their tagline shoutout to GSP for review and have them played in-between songs.

Actually any listener that wants to can (and is encouraged to) record their own GSP tagline and mail it to just about any DJ (my email is Foxyjama(at)Gridstream(dot)org, and I'm happy to review/produce any listener submitted clips into promos). We can't guarantee that it will get aired, it has to be submitted for approval and be appropriate for the shows, etc.

All you need is a headset or microphone and any program you can record with on your computer. The standard Windows recorder doesn't give you the highest quality, but we've recorded promos/auditions with it in the past.

Keep listening, I'm sure you'll hear a few of our GSP Dancer submitted promos and show sweeps!

Well, I'm pushing to get our GSP WAP page back so you can see what's playing on your cordless. Not sure if that'll happen anytime soon, but it's certainly pretty addictive of me. :P

Ya, when I'm on the road.. all I have to do is call a number(free service) and then enter my "GSP" extension and I can hear the music/Dj's on my mobile. The number is long distance to me, but I have unlimited cell/long distance so why not. :)

I might add the stream in the backgroud to one of my conferece rooms I use when teaming w/ orgmates.

If anyone was interested... I don't have a problem letting others dial-in, but I'd have to set a limit to the amount of call-in's.

Genious, this is genious to me. I have unlimtied minutes through my work, I have a handsfree speaker setup in my car.. soo in the end, this would = the win. Yeah it wouldn't be radio quality, but since I can't tune in, while in the car to begin with? It'd be a major improvement from zero. lol I dig this, I'd definitely like to have that #. That is, if it doesn't cost you for me calling in, nor charge like a per/min fee type thing. Then I'm sold. I want in lol

Anyway, shoot me a pm, I'd like to give this a test drive and see how things go if the idea is still game.

Nope, there's no charge to me.. only bandwidth. I use a free VOIP service called FWD(www.freeworlddialup.com) and then use donated free access phone numbers to dial any FWD number. There's about a dozen numbers for the US located in major cities, and a handful in Germany, UK, and a few more other countries. I'll send you a PM and work out an access phone number.
