I'd order the blowfish from Homer, it's to die for.

mmmnnn... sushi.

One of the things i miss most from home. Everyone has great suggestions, what you choose is important. i say yaye for Cali Rolls, Salmon rolls with cream cheese {usually called a philly}. and a yummy roll with a piece of tempura shrimp! Personally the little orange eggs are yucky to me, but a simple scrape and voila.

Like Tarryk, i hate the pretention of sushi. LOL Beverly Hills sushi spots with rolls for 35 bucks *snickers*

What i maybe like most is the ritual of the food. i love to prepare my little dish with soy, ginger, and too much wasabi. And i love to eat with chopsticks. Fun with food!

For what its worth Lilly, if I understood it correctly, it wasn't "sushi" so much as "gag". My GSP Dancer tag prevents me from any further explaination. :P

I won't really elaborate more, but I do understand am not limited by a Dancer tag over my head and you are correct. We collectively got past the sushi joke after the initial post in this thread I believe and went on to more and different innuendos

Ok, sushi, for me OMGZuberfookinRAWKorz.

Having said that, not all sushi is created equal. ^_^ And not all sushi is for everyong. But also, not all sushi is made with raw fish. So, you anti-sushi types? Go try a veggie roll sometime, with a bit of wasabi in your soy sauce, and tell me that isn't tasty. ;)

I work at a sushi café, and belive me when I say our sushi is no upper crust of anything other than upper-poverty. ^_^ 2.99 for an 8 peice Cali Roll? ;-) Not to say that sushi needs to be expensive, but the price can be used as a quality indicatory when most everything in the store has a 65% cost-to-profit ratio. ^_^

The really good sushi is usually made at upper quality cafés or resturants. At least, in my hood it is. ^_^ And that is usally made employing culinatry tricks, and magics of the palte. But the 2.99 imitation crab cali rolls? It's almost sad they get lumped in as "sushi" among the sushi antagonists. ^_^ Cause that stuff is usually what makes you go, "ew."

There's no meat in "real" sushi either. There is fish.

And fish, as we all know, is not meat. Calling it such is...barbaric. :)

*Traanse has tried to stay out of the sushi discussion but just barely restrains herself from near-drowning Tarryk for his excessive sushi-animosity*

I enjoy having sushi for dinner in my home because, while I like using chopsticks, I don't have enough finesse with them to truly enjoy my meal in a restaurant or sushi bar. And then it becomes finger-food. :) So in that respect I shy away from the public "coolness" of sushi... only my friends [who also like sushi  ] get to share in the sushi-love. And I agree w/ Firia.... wasabi in the soy sauce is a must for me. My fave are the ones w/ [cooked] crab and avocado in them.

*warns Tarryk to stay away from her post and prepares to kick some ass*
