Nightwish Sans Tarja Turunen?

Seems so, bummer - however I suppose if her attitude had crept towards that end of the spectrum, it was only a matter of time. You can read the letter at the bottom.

Only thing I can think of is that Nightwish is going to end up kicking more ass in the long run. Seems she wasn't a big influential part in the actual music itself. She worked more as a front for the band and her vocal ability. Both of which can be replaced, since there are plenty of women who can both sing and look good. Maybe they'll find someone who'll contribute to the music and have a lot more respect for the band and for the fans. They honestly can only get better from this point.

I can see what you mean zephem...it did seem that she was kind of an oddity in the band. Heres's this metal band, guys with long hair and everything, and then theres Tarja, the opera singer. I always wondered what she was doing in a band if it was obvious that she also was a real opera singer, making her own cds and stuff like that.

On the other hand, when I listen to nightwish...Tarja's voice and singing is a big part of why I listen. It's a nice change from the ARRGHGRGH D0om in just about everything else, and it will be sad to see it go. But if they do find someone who can appreciate metal more, and can match her singing ability, then yea, I do think it will be for the better.
