Red,

When it crashes, what does it do? Does it run the normal "logging out" screen thing as though you had decided to log out? or does it do the "random disappearance leaving you with a little "AO has crashed" box"??

Are you using an ATI card? If so, ever since the latest patch updates I have to go into advance settings and choose the first video setting that has HAL in the description. Ever since then I haven't crashed at all :) Maybe that's the issue? Even if it's not ATI, maybe it's worth a shot? Mine would be playing just fine and then poof it would just disappear, not like "ao is now closing... *blue bar going across the screen*".. this was just *poof.. gone* Ever since the HAL change, it's been flawless. Hope that maybe helps?

ATI has been having major problems with AO (or vice versa)

First check out this thread for tips to see if they can help you. You may want to try a different driver set, updating your drivers to see if that works.
