The Wisdom of Foxy

Postby Reet » Sun Aug 07, 2005 3:13 am

Do not doubt the wisdom of Foxyjama, wielder of Teh Sexiness. Today, I learned that lesson. I was bored, I couldn't keep a connection to AO for more than a few minutes (ask Nexeus; we tried levelling together, it didn't go so well.), so I figured I'd watch a movie. I thought: "I'll see if Alone in the Dark is really as bad as Foxy claims it is. It can't be that bad, can it?"

Yes, I was a fool. Having seen it... I feel violated. That's an hour and a half of my life I'll never get back. Alone in the Dark truly does suck. Next time Foxy says a movie sucks, I'll just take her word for it.

I didn't much like the games either, but at least they were scary...

I'm telling you, I like movies in general. Crazy, weird, B movies, zombie movies, truly odd or bizarre movies, I like them all. I have a huge tolerance for bad dialouge and cheesy plotlines. I'll stretch the limits of my imagination to find something good to say about a movie. It takes a lot for me to proclaim that a movie ... as I believe I put it... "sucks donkey balls".

This movie was so appallingly bad it couldn't even be made fun of. I warned you guys as a public service to mankind. Normally I don't give two shits what critics have to say about movies, but please heed me when I say this movie is... BAD.

Okay, I think I'm going to test Foxy. :) What do you think of House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects (the sequel)?

Is Devil's Rejects a sequel? Just figured it was his next movie and I'm firmly of the opinion this is the only movie Rob can make, so every movie he ever makes will just be this again(course I haven't seen DR so I'm just making a wild assumption based on the trailers)

For good, yet terribly odd and almost unknown movies I'd see if anyone's familiar with The Forbidden Zone. Now it's not really a very good movie, but the oddness of it just has to be savored. Plus it has Danny Elfman in it as the Devil.

I need to go rent House of 1000 Corpses, I haven't had a chance to see it yet. I feel terrible admitting that, but something always comes up every time I rent it, and it ends up back at the video store unwatched.
