Okay, yes, I'm a geek.. and I'm an IRC freak... one day in one of the channels I visit regularly, someone asked a computer-related question that some of you highly computer literate people might also get a chuckle out of...:

well, actually, if he always takes of the computer from thr powerline the system clock IS supplied by that small battery on the mainboard.
If that battery runs dry you system might not boot again.

But he probably meant something else.

I can't even count the amount of times I've wanted to tell the person at the other end of the phone to unplug everything, put it all back in the box, and ship it back to the manufacturer with a note that says "1 D 10 T Error, do not return to consumer."
