I can officially take your blood!

Last night I did my first stick (drawing blood). Got it first try! Did the whole thing myself.. wrapped the tourniquet, swabbed with alcohol pad, stuck the needle, drew the blood, placed the cotton ball, pulled out the needle and applied the tape. On a patient, not myself! I wanted to take a sample of the blood home in a syringe but they wouldn't let me, lol

I HATE giving blood. Whenever every they try to draw blood the vein always blows out. My mom is the same way. They usally have to end up drawing it from back of my hand with burns like a mofo.

The one time I had to have blood taken...they had to corner me and pin me down...and then I promptly passed out. The Dani does not like the needles.
