My dad bought my the spiderman game for XboX. It's very not my style, but I love it anyway. Sooooo much fun. I now feel morally obligated to go see the movie

it took me 3 weeks to get my roomates to finally break down and watch Firefly. And now, just 3 days later, all of them are hooked, and have sat through all 14 episodes at least once (some of them more than once).

My work here is done.

Oh, and yes, the movie is going to rock.

I picked up the Firefly DVDs after several recommendations from Gridstream staff. I owe you guys one for that recommendation. Now I'm counting the days until the movie.

Yessss indeed.

All I know is that it better do phenomenal in theaters. I want at least a full trilogy out of this sucker, there's WAY too many open plotlines for just 1 movie to fill in.

if you're leary of dropping the cash on the DVD's and don't knwo anyone who has it, keep an eye on the friday night line up on the Sci-fi channel. beginning in July (late July I belive) they will begin running the series, and unlike FOX, they will be running it in order.

this means I can get my Firefly, and Stargate all in one sitting. Yay! (I'm such a nerd)

Oh, yeah, whatever. I love the Firefly series. I've watched them all about 4 times now. The first episode (Serenity) is my favorite.

Now THAT rocks, I'm glad Fox finally released the rights to it. And I hope to GOD SciFi keeps a grip on it, because lord knows they'd do a much better job with the series (like, playing it in the correct ruttin' ORDER) should it ever get started back up.

And yes, nerdy or not, Firefly + Stargate = Complete Universal Pwnzorship. Haven't seen Atlantis yet, but no TV here. Waiting to get the first season DVD set, I freakin' love that scientist dude who took the lead role in it (same guy from the movies Cube, Nothing, and Get Down (aka Treed Murray)), he cracks me up.

OMG, you've missed out on SG Atlantis Tk?!

I have the entire first Season. And it totally pwnz. Season 2 is going to pwnz even MORE

New alien races, new technology, new battlecruisers ... ancient tech integrated into human etc etc ... yummie!

I bought the firefly series and watched them back to back pretty much, over the course of a week. The series was OK. I still think SG1 is better

But I like the cocept with Firefly.

Not at all. I'm still waiting to purchase it. I haven't missed out on any TV series, it's simply not OUT yet (or, in some cases, I simply haven't got the money to drop on it yet).

Well over ten years now of no broadcast, network, or cable television, and all of my friends still act shocked when I say I haven't been watching a particular show.

I don't watch TV for any reason, mang. It's DVD, Vid-File, VHS, or bust.

Kayten's been drilling that into my head as well, but even moreso about the main character dude. After 9/30, I'll begin watching it.

Yeah, I think it's very preference-based to the type of scifi one enjoys the most, moreso than the stories. Stargate is hard scifi with aliens and quantum warp lasers and such, where Firefly is lojack scifi with combustion engines and pump-action shotguns. My guess is I'll like 'em both equal once I see Atlantis, I'm just focusing on the underdog til the film hits.
