we know a lot of people have left AO for "greener pastures". but there really is no reason fans of GridStream can not listen in on the fun they have left behind.
for those that left for World of Warcraft, I have a gift.
just unpack this into your AddOns directory (World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns). You'll be able to stream GSP without running a player in the background, or tasking out to start and stop the stream, or to change the music volume(the ingame music volume slider will work for the stream volume).

very simple to use, Once ingame type:
/GSP to start the stream
/MStop to stop the Stream
and there was much rejoicing....

Ya, that's pretty kick ass! Wish AO had an "Add-Ons" directory as well.

tell me about it. I'm pretty much burned out on WoW already, and the only thing really keeping me around is the fun of modding it.
I used the GSP feed as a test line while working out a combat music addon. listening to the same few MP3 while working the kinks out of the code got old fast, and GSP was a great variety of music from a static filename. I figured I'd make an addon dedicated to GSP fans with what I picked up. So I stripped out all the bells and whistles once it was done and made a dedicated GSP player.
sad, I use this more than the combat music addon I wrote in the first place =p

Okay... it's time I fess up. I've never actually had a real AO account. I do have a froob account, but I've mostly been playing... uhh... "other" MMO's in the time I've been listening to Gridstream.
But I'll be damned if I'd listen to another MMO's radio station. I've got a fever, and the only cure for that fever is more Gridstream!
