hmm... i only had rarely problems with instaling software.
so far onyl when trying to install some new beta drivers or weird librarys for development i got unmet dependencys on my debian systems.
BUT
i needed weeks to get those systems running!
And there is still soem special hardware/function thats not working.

So I did it, I switched over to Linux. I'm tring to get AO to work under it and saw Mummu's link to the program below.
Saddly I don't seem to be able to use that program. (Perhaps it's out of date) Has anyone else had any problems getting it to work? Does anyone know anouther program to use to get AO to work under Linux?

you need working graphics drivers with 3d acceleration. The std vesa, nv or whatever might not work. I hope you have a nvidia card...

Joy of joys. I've got a Radeon 9600xt... guess I'll still have to use Winders for things like AO.
While on the note of Linux though, how do you tune into GSP using Linux? Well... I guess before I worry about that I need to figure out how to get it to play MP3s.
Seriously this is fun for me doing all this stuff with Linux and getting it to work. I'm a nut for new things. (Though I feel old now, that I recall a conversation I had with one of my brothers friends when Linux first came out...)

Fedora Core does not include the MP3 encoder though do to copy right issues. XMMS can play MP3's but I have to first get the encoder.
