GridStream gets junk mail...

Postby Tarryk » Wed Feb 23, 2005 1:03 am

So there I was, trudging into house and home, checking the mailbox on the way in.

Contents of my Mailbox:

1 - Latest issues of Maxim. WOOHOO!

1 - Standard and oft-received flyer that's saying something about Find Jesus Today Or Burn In Hell Forever. So I looked around for a minute, shrugged, and moved on...

1 - Letter addressed to "GridStream Productions". Wha?

This letter is from American Express. GridStream can get an American Express Business-Edition Gold Card! Woohoo! Now we can govern the spending of all that ... um .... that ... uh ....

How do these people find me?

So I went inside, set the letter on my desk (where it will become lost within the week, never to be seen again), went into the bathroom, and rounded off the afternoon by bookmarking the Maxim with the Jesus Saves pamphlet.

I checked around a bit more before flushing. Couldn't find him. Sneaky li'l bugger.

Sweeet... maybe you should point out the millions your business gives away to lucky recipients on a daily basis. With that kind of money flow maybe you could get a pretty spending limit. Throw in the idea that you're searching for Jesus and maybe it'll be even more!

Yes, you are going to hell. We all are, Jesus or no Jesus. Think of Jesus more like a PR guy for Satan. Some people find Heaven more attractive than hell, and some prefer hell itself. They are both the same place, just presented a little different.

And T, I am sorry... but I gave out your RL address to some scary looking A.E. ganstas ... what could I do? They thretened to slap me with the uber interest rate!
(... on a serious note, I have no clue... you aren't even the owner of the domain ... so it's weirdo)

Well I have signed on for things that use GridStream as the business title. My current ISP has me on a small business plan, for example, licensed to GridStream by name, and I'm more or less the licensed "owner" of the org title, just without anything more than an unlicensed trademark. So that part wouldn't have anyone finding me.

The bunk part about it is that I have never signed GSP's name to anything that didn't give me a no-name-selling clause.

Which means that either someone lied, or there's something I missed.
