I hunger for the advent of technological and biological advances.

I see the limitless potential for their scientific successes. Then again, my desire to see it through blinds me, like it blinds the people that dream of a new tomorrow upon the creation of such advances. Like the science fiction scientists that are blind to all the negitive ramifications, I sort of ignore all the backlashes that could go with such nanotech, and biotech.

Designer germ warefare could become the new WMD's. Biotech that targets the human geneome, and not the surrounding life forms. Or biological assassination. Get a designer germ that can target one person. All you'd need would be a peice of hair or something.

Then there's social reform. Would these designer technological marvels be available to the masses? Probably not. Knowing people and their economic structure, it'd be billions to alter one person. Like the artical said; Haves and Have-nots. Suddently those with billions could become a whole new power, and those with nothing would become insects. A revolution could arise, and the world could change, possabily for the worst.

There's alot to consider with these kind of technologies. We're not ready today, and I dought we'll be ready when the tech is ready, presumably in 20 years. I estimate 50 years, that's when we could be ready to slowly step forward.
