Just in case you thought Nickleback were 'teh awesome'

I took a look at the guitar tab for both songs, and was actually surprised at how different they were.

Make no mistake, though, they are still almost identical. "Someday" is in dropped-D tuning and "How you Remind Me" is not and therefore the tablature is laid out slightly different, but they play almost the exact same successive harmony throughout the entire tune.

And it also comes to bear that every single break, chorus, fill, and solo happen in perfect sync to each other. It's as if they took the first song's complete tablature, erased a couple 5's and 7's, replaced them with 7's and 9's respectively, and wrote "Drop D" at the top.

Well I guess they figure if it ain't broke, don't fix it. :) Ok so maybe that means they are to rock when harlequin romance is to fiction. Maybe that's not a good thing. But I don't feel dismayed or duped. :)

Now, I'll tell you what does bother me. No offense to anyone here, but!!!

Shame on you fairweather fans!! Shame!! *wags her index finger*

Do you mean to tell me that you liked both of these songs individually before, but because someone with WAY too much time on his hands makes a website to tell you that they sound alike, you now no longer like them?

Please.

If you change your opinion of Nickelback or these songs simply because this joker tells you they are godawful shite, then you are behaving like the sheep (tone deaf MTV twats?) he is accusing you of being.

Yea, I listened to em both, and I ain't a musician at all, but I could tell they are very similar.

Still, I figure it's something like Vallikat said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. It can't be worst then Ashlee SImpson! heheh

I hear that they're similar in the extreme, but heck, I still like Nickleback. *shrugs* That's just me, though, and I know that I'm strange (I think the sound of a Rolls Royce or Packard Merlin = Teh Yum, and a starting F100PW220E = *drool* :P)

Oh how I hate the Nicklecreed. It's not that it's unlistenable, its just that IT'S SO #$@@%ING BORING!!! I swear, I almost spontaneously fall asleep when Nicklecreed or thier ilk come on the radio.

How could you be content with yourself as an artist when you're making such generic crap that you can't honestly tell one song from the other? These albums should come with a warning label -

WARNING: THIS ALBUM CONTAINS ABSOLUTELY NO ARTISTIC INTEGRITY!
COMPARES FAVORABLY TO MUZAK!
All this machinery making modern music
Can still be open-hearted.
Not so coldly charted
It's really just a question of your honesty, yeah,
Your honesty.

Heh, Nicklecreed! I like that. I also like the egotistical a-holes some of these people turn into. I've always kinda liked Creed(more than Nickelback at least) and wonder what it takes for the lead singer guy to say "This is a good thing. We are popular and can pretty much print money. I think I'll leave" Or did the band leave him? Not to mention Gwen Stefani who said "This band of mine got me to where I am. But now all I need is a good producer and some cheap hired talent. I'll ditch them."

I think the Creed guy left because he was turning into a drunk and drug abuser. What with the collapsing on stage and all during shows. :P

Didn't the lead singer from Creed steal the lead singer from Pearl Jam's voice?!

I'd just like to quote my bro' when I showed him this.

Bro' wrote:That's two songs? I always thought it was the same one...

It cracked me up, that's for sure. So blatantly honest and everything. Precious!
