We're currently going through the first major renewal year for both Onstar service (you know the one, push a button in your car and someone answers to save your butt...which you could have done with your cell phone) and satellite radio (you know the ones, XM Satellite and Sirius, the new yet crumbling home for Howard Stern and Pam Anderson).
What does this "renewal year" mean?
This means that nearly all of the millions of dumbasses who got these services as extra options in their cars a year ago are now getting letters in the mail saying "renew this server for only $170.00 a year!" And those newly-enlightened people are mostly saying "Um...bite me."
Let us bow our heads for a moment silence for two of the biggest blunders in communications corporate history since the collective anal intrusions of the "e-commerce" year.
Catcha later, Satellite & Onstar. Can't say I'll miss you, because you both suck.
