Well Seven Samurai is nice when you want to sit down, not move for 5 hours, and aren't playing AO - definately a great movie!

Maybe they will redeem the prequels by feeding Binx to a rancor or something worse (Saber-fried Gungan fillet please Vader!!!) hopefully... and I'm likely gonna wait til I can rent it unless I hear otherwise.

Let's be honest Binx and bad dialogue isn't the only problem with episodes I & II. For starters you have the terrible casting. Not all casting is terrible, for example Ewan McGregor is fantastic, even bothering to do an impression of a young Alec Guiness. But that is put off by his terrible co-star Hayden Christensen who is possibly the worst choice for Anakin ever. He's so rubbish it's painful. Even worse was the annoying kid in Episode I. Christopher Lee is good though, but again put off by bad dialogue and incompetence in surrounding actors.

By far the worst problem is the fact that any further Star Wars films were always gonna be compared to the originals, which is a tad unfair as it has been a long time. I wonder if he had done these films a few years after the originals if the reaction would've been the same.

Anyway \rant end

OK ya stirred it up again.

One of my biggest problems with Episode I & II is that in Ep I you saw great choreography in the lightsaber battles(true they only had a few and only a total of 3 ppl to deal with), and then in Ep II most of the lighsaber fights(mainly the big battles with 10+ jedi on screen) had the folks swinging their lightsabers like they were playing badminton. Heck, the Star Wars kid of internet fame coulda done better!

I agree with you there.

If anyone has seen the Clone Wars cartoons, they are so much better than the films in terms of everything. It should be the other way round, but its not.

my 2 cents
probably missing the topic, im not obtuse, just off kilter

I am astounded that george lucas pushes as much money as possible into being as fisher price as he can be. He's candy coated everything since the first frame of episode one which leads me to believe one of two things, either i hate almond bark, or im fricking diabetic.

I have to admit, some of the action in the movie knocked me out of the chair, but he's showing off but afraid to take risks.

Afraid to take risks?! He's riding a multi-billion dollar pony to the finish line in a race against tortises, think he wants to kick it to make it go faster? He'd sooner try and climb into the R2-D2 outfit than take a risk now. All he has to do is sit back and decide how many tropical islands he wants to buy every year till he dies.
