I don't think it looks like it was hurt in any way. Just so long as they took the plastic gun away before the hampster actually started gnawing on it. That could be potentially harmful. But just holding the gun, isn't going to hurt it. I did worse harm to the many hampster pets I had in my teens. I think 3 months was about the longest any of them lived. Turns out, you have to actually feed them and clean their cages and stuff. Who knew?

I'm not saying you have to like it, merely pointing out that it's photoshoped before someone freaks. My humour is very different that most of yours. I learned that the hard way.
I found it funny, mainly because I didn't see it coming. And while we were on the animal rights thing, I figured I'd post it as a laugh.
If you disagree, then that's your oppinion, and you're as free to say so as I was to post. I'm merely watching my back this time. The entire forum freaked out when I posted that Cat on the fan thing. Not trying that again. ^^

But I will refrain from posting the other 5 "owned" pictures my friend sent me... I doubt they will be seen as funny, if this is seen as harsh. I guess it depends how seriously you wanna take it. Oh well, that's your call.
