Lookout Mountain = teh roxx0r

So where was I last week? On vacation! We hopped 3 hours over to Chattanooga, TN, and crept around various Lookout Mountain attractions. Some gratuitous pics below. :)

Rock City - Rope Bridge
(having someone[husband] shake this while you're walking on it... yeah, scary. :P )

Rock City - Mountain
(just a pretty mountain view)

Rock City - Lover's Leap
(my favorite part!)

Ruby Falls - 145 ft Waterfall
(this pic was touched up a lot for visibility...located inside the limestone area of the mountain.. 30 minute treck from the cave shaft[260?ft deep])

Ruby Falls - Twilight Zone
(dodododododo! a fun neon lit area of the cave, on the way back out)

Mountains are fun! :P

Wow. I drove through Tennessee a couple years ago and I don't remember it looking that good. Then again, there were quite a few cars along the highways that... had been there for a long, long time.

Looks like it was a very relaxing and inspiring trip. Thanks for sharing the great pictures.

Another great place for you spelunkers, Blanchard Springs in Northern Arkansas. And then those that are SCUBA Certified, There is one of the top 10 Dive spots in the world in MO. http://2dive.com/Photos1/ Bonne Terra Mine. It is a flooded coal mine from back in yester year and they stopped pumping the water out. Average temp of the water... 58 Degrees... So needless to say you have to use a good thick wetsuit or dry suit. Fabulous dive though. I loved it.

The south has MANY MANY really awesome things to do if you are outdoorsy.

Cowtipper... TN is always beautiful. We're in the middle of the Smokey Mountains (well..Chattanooga isn't really, but it's close!).
Tree's + fall + leaves changing color = absolutaly gorgeous eye candy.

Everyone should come!

She does - just not down the front

Umm... errrrr.. so back on topic

It doesn't have the hilly mountainish part attached but near me is The Cave of the Mounds and fairly close if rocks & stuff is more to your liking is Devils Lake

Anyway, nice pics.... and did ya get to meet Rod Serling then?
