I got something that will stop the fighting. :D

We're all idiots.

There. Americans, dutch, british, Arabs, russians, asians, canadians..

Were all idiots who let ourselves get walked around like sheep. Who let themselves be brainwashed, made to fear things that do not concern them, whatever.

And in a world of idiocy and cruelty, well...to be an idiot, is to be normal, eh? :D

LMAO. people calm down lol...
That site cracked me up and entertained me for half an hr.

It's all a spoof. (it smeels like it at first sight) but even more so when looking around it more.
Noticed the ads etc? The whole site feels unnatural imo.
Cause thse peeps are ether in a insaneasylum or just pulling peoples legs.

Searching google for info turned up some interesting stuff like this article http://urbanlegends.about.com/b/a/021969.htm
And there is more out there :)

Oh man. it cracks me up reading thru their sites!
I'm pretty much close to a atheist really. as far as human constructed religions go. But even I can find flaws in oodles on that site :)

Take the questions/answers thing with that giraffe.
Read the one on Cane and his wife.
Q: "Where did Cain get his Wife?"
A: "All humans are decendants of Adam and Eve, who had many sons and daughters. So Cain married his sister!"

lmao. Now read the ref link (click blue text) http://www.k4t.com/Questions/question12.htm

A quote is here if ya are too lazy to click and read :)

In the Bible we find out that Adam & Eve's firstborn son Cain had a wife -- Genesis 4:17 "And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch."

Notice in particular the part "And Cain knew his wife"
At the time he married his wife it was either a sister or a niese.
And now the facinating part. Note the wording of that part.
It says "knew his wife" I'm pretty sure this was rewritten at some later point in the bible. Another interesting thing is... only in Moses time (if we are to believe the "historical info in the bible" he got his commandments etc. Up until that time marrying your sister was ok? O.o
Odd that it didn't happen/get mentioned more then in the earlier parts of the bible book.

Even more amusing is the "not a problem" sections on this ref page lol.
Particulary the statistical one.

This chart assumes a life span of 900 years, the first child of each reproducing couple is born at age 50, each couple has 500 child bearing years, and one child is born to each couple during every five years.

life span of 900 years? O.o erm.....
500 child bearing years? O.o....
a child each 5 years? okeeee.
That's a lot of bed fun, and I always tought that back in the "ol" days lifespan was under 50 on average? lol

The more ya read this iite and it's "links" the more ya think that the people behind it (none of those pictures on the site are of the makers of the page btw)
they either are on acid all the time, or they are a bunch of peeps poking fun at the religion AND are high on acid all the time lol.

And this part REALLy made me laugh. (taking stabs at Americans is fun, even more fun to poke at chistans esp extreemists, and extreemist christian americans really makes me laugh when poked at :)
Read this and find out why I find this satire so hilarious (even tough it's waaaay over the top imo lol)
http://objective.jesussave.us/shutdown.html
Or Game theory lmao hilarious http://objective.jesussave.us/gametheory.html

As a final note! There is plenty satire/spoof sites similar to this one.
(and not always about religion nor politics)
You can come across some pretty weirdo stuff out there.
And some of it is much more subtle and can creep up on ya much more than this site which after a few seconds make ya laugh rather than get upset lol.

I just truly hope nobody fall for the writng on that site, if they do... those peoplke are really messed up lmao.

OK, but our collective point (those who would destroy this site if we could, though taken in the correct light it is fairly amusing) is that if a Christian instructed child of 10 reads this sight, that kid is quite likely to believe it. You and I Gridfan, heck even Oddy  , can see it as the outright fiction it is, but can that stupid little, religion-clouded 10 year old brain figure that out? :?

If he can or cannot, will not change his life...
Only 1 kid was dumb enough to jump off a house cus' he thought he was a Pokémon. Think it was in Norway... Now THERE you have evil. Yet it couldn't be stopped... There a dumb peeps out there, simple as that.
Urban legend says micro waves have the "do not insert living tissue" label cus some broad was dumb enough to dry her cat in it... Do I believe that? Not really... But sometimes I meet people who are that dumb and probably would if given the chance.
Because some people are stupid doesn't mean a thing is evil...

That said, this "Religious" site, even IF it is believed will change nothing. Kids believe in Santa, and a certain Bunny mentioned above... They grow wiser. So will any kid reading this before he leaves his teens... If he doesn't, then he wouldn't have anyway, as he is clearly stuck in an invironment that dictates this crap... Not cus he checks his absolute favourite site everyday to recieve his commandments... But because someone else thought he should be raised like this, and he lacked the obvious brain to see through it...

So to be honest... The outrage is becomming as funny and pointless as the site... :P

You underestimate the effects of a good brainwashing.

Though outrage of the site is INDEED very funny. Even if the site was 100% legitimate, it would still be funny.

And a lot of people have genuine concern because they indeed know crazy religious fanatics that this hits too close to home. There are many people that live in areas where playing DnD was truly seen as work of the devil and the child was beat up, harrassed for doing so.

So, though the outrage of the site is still funny, the concern behind the outrage is understandable.

Fortunately, I lived in an area that was more accepting than many other places. Played DnD, admitted to being an Atheist, etc... I never had any trouble. Where I in a more rural area, it's quite possible, nay likely, that things would not have been so easy.

This site is on the Internet. So any discussions pertaining to it's effects in regions on the planet have little merit(save for the fact that being written in english, residents of some areas wouldn't be able to read it). It's aimed at children who are easily misled, and it's filled to the brim with outright lies of staggering proportion.

Much as Post WWI German folks who believed a guy named Adolf's words didn't change anything, and they too grew wiser over time.

The most powerful weapon in the world might possibly be an idea or mass persuasion.

lets just make it clear here...

**WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME STUPID BOAT**

pass me my helmet

we all make mistakes, hell, the best thing to describ it comes from a movie that was based on a mistake: harrold and maud. the line? "everyone makes an ass of themselves once in a while."

we all do stupid things, we all make mistakes, we all have our own little quirks, but thats because we are human, no matter how fucked up it seems. dosent mean you have to agree with ideas, but damn, dont label. last thing anyone wants is a label.

Boinky you did NOT just compare this site to the after math of WWI... The ONLY reason Hitler could persuade the masses, was that Germany was being sacked a lot harder than the country could bear. The war taxes were outragous if any hope of rebuilding the country were to be made, and the French were making damn sure it stayed that way. The country wes doomed never to prosper under those circumstances, and as such, the people MORE than welcomed a leader who said "to hell with it" and let them rebuild the glory that Germany was... So obviously you have no idea what you're taling about.

This is the same as walking up to a kid and saying "Hate that guy, cus God tells you to" if he does hate the guy, then he has issues. SERIOUS issues. This debate can rage forever. But it is rather obvious that the naive "there is evil out there, and it's here to get me" perspective has been taken into use.
As of such, I guess I can see how I was being a jerk when assuming that only yanks would see this as dangerous. But likewise, you're assumption that kids CAN'T see the diff here, is just as off. They're kids, not lemmings. Give them some credit, they ARE you're future. Every kid was dumb first off. Heck I believed in santa and ghosts when I was very little... Doesn't mean I do now. Nor will they start a world spanding war on Atheists when they grow up... Get real!

Oddy - in the aftermath of 9/11 anybody leaning on the side opposite Muslims probably is an easier sell on stronger religious views. A small child who has already been started on the Christian path, and seeing a world at war with itself mainly along religious lines is probably an easy sell to go closer to his side of the world in ideas. This site doesn't say "Hey look at this big joke", instead it says "Jesus tells you dinosaurs live in Africa(or wherever that story said they were)" This site also tells the people who might believe what it says that if a person holds different views than you do you should fear them.

Ok, I'm just scared. I don't care if the site is real or not, just the fact that it is as child friendly as it is... wrong. The beginning of the site, I was ok, I was raised christian, I was good with the puzzles and the bringings up of being a good christian, having knowledge of things in the bible... BUT, shortly afterwards, seeing the thought patterns being expressed in the "Habu's Corner" section, I was starting to ponder getting my beating stick out and finding the people that made the site. Hitting the Aethiest section I got a chuckle that they would center out a group of individuals the way they did... Going the next section down though, I put down my beating stick and broke out my beating stick + (four foot length of broken off crowbar) and started feeding in details for the people that put this on the internet. I can deal with a lot of things, but, the potential for parents to see this, look at the first few sections, think "This is perfectly fine" and let their kids go there.... this is just wrong...

Yeah, I'm probably gonna get flamed, BUT, I needed to get this out.

Madikai.

This site offended me because as you all know, I plan on raising an army to take over the world. I'm not the best brainwashers in the world, so I don't need even a site like this working against me.

It is in my general, nonsentical opinion that America is simply experiencing our own "Crazed religon", which the landmass of Europe experienced for most of the Middle ages up to I would say the 1800s to 1900s, and the same sort of crazed religon which the Middle east is experiencing (Although the entire spread of Islam was due in part to conquest). :)

Of course, in a modern civilization, we do not have crushing other religons, burning or other forms of torture, that the middle ages had. :)

The site was a joke, I think we all realize is now, and kudos to those who realized beforehand. We should all take into heart that so much of the Internet is bullshit pulled right out of someones ass, and that its very easy to make up something incredibly stupid, and fool many people. :)

The only chance we could reach a point that mimics the actions of the ancient and middle ages Christian Church would be if that sites material was taken into heart. Something I doubt. :)

Doesnt stop the point though where we have a President who has crammed religon into the Federal Goverment... ;)
