If you had your nose done then the tongue should be a cinch. I had my tongue done first and it was not that bad at all. Then not that long ago I had my nose done... argh.... that hurt badly to me and I think I flinch too. So if you dealth with the nose really should be no problem with the tongue. But like everyone has said make sure you listen to what they tell you about the healing. Good Luck if you have not done it already and I am late.

Yeah I did fine with my nose. It didn't hurt at all.. in fact that was easier than getting any of my ear piercings done. The worst piercing I've had to date would be the top of my ear.. I -still- can't lay on it with an earing in it and I've had it since I was 12. My mom had problems with her nose piercing though.. she thought it was very painful.. I guess that one's just kinda different with everyone.

I'm really excited to get my tongue done but at the same time am very nervous. I'll let ya know when I'm going in to get it.. Most likely it will be on Thursday.

Ah cool. I had one of those top of the ears piercing but due to that I wear glases well lets just say it hurt like a bi**h everytime I hit it and stuff so that one I let close. I might get it redone some day if I finally get some decent contacts. If I remember correctly when it was actually pierced it did not hurt that much. But like you said hitting it and sleeping on it well that was just not cool. Well I guess I will say Good Luck and I hope you like it. And I can understand the nervousness. I got a deal for you though if you want to take me up on it. If you get the piercing and you get a pic of it email it to me and I will post my RL pic here on the forums. I am a big chicken to do it and if you can over come and get your piercing I am willing to over come and put my pic up... what you think about that?

You can hear it.. it sounds like a needle trying to go through a muscle.. like a cracking sound sorta.

I did alot of research and even had a girl telling me about her experience just moments before doing it but I gotta say.. it does kinda hurt. It feels like I've recently burnt my tongue and can't do anything really to make it comfortable. Deffinately an odd feeling.

You've mentioned something about 5 weeks, Oddysee.. What was it again? I was told I could change mine out in 1-2 weeks. I even bought a shorter bar while I was there.

The only thing I dislike about mine is it's a bit off center.. not majorly but a tiny tad bit.. he didn't quite hit the dot he placed. It's ok though.. Still really cool though.. I can't wait til it's completely healed and I can flick it around

And to be honest, it does hurt... only for a sec, but to say it doesn't hurt for that sec is to lie... Didn't wanna make you nervous tho...

The 5 weeks is how long you're not allowed to get intimate... AT ALL...
2 weeks and you can have the small one in... but you get "close" before the 5 weeks, and you risk infection... You do NOT want infection in that muscle!!! Nothing is worth that! So toughen up, and wait it out!

Oh, and ice cream... LOT'S of ice cream!

Oh, and the reason it's a tat of center is because, if he hit's the nerve beneath the tongue... Tongue collapses... For ever.

There's no risk, as they always put it in slightly tilted to avoid it. You will never see anyone collaps at a professional place, but they have to tilt as a precaution, so... that's kinda why... But still, feels kinda good... dunnit! ^^
God I "hate" you... I miss mine so terribly much...

I was never told a thing about 5 weeks til being intimate..

And trust me if I can do this ANYONE can.. needles are my biggest fear. Get yours redone!

And thanks for explainin.. I was a bit dissapointed that it was off a bit.. it's cool though. I just got done eating a frosty and we stopped off to get me some yogurt for the week. I'm all set!

I dunno... When I said phobic, I wasn't kidding... I twitch when I even see needles, or if anything nears my face... A needle near my face? Gah!

And stay strong! Don't give in and try to consume a micro wave pizza... It will take you 2 hours to swallow the sucker... and it will hurt like hell doing it... It's stupid!... So I obviously did it hehe. I needed food! ^^

Patience never was my strongest side...

And gettin it done at this point would be impractical. I know my girl friend isn't too keen on it, and even though what I feel is what's most important, gettin it done when it's already out seems stupid while with her... So it will wait under any circumstance...

But I'm thrilled you like it! It's a great feeling once done, cus it's sorta a bigger step than doin an ear or som'n like that... S'like it's a lil' closer innit!? ^^
Enjoy these next two weeks, you'll look back on 'em later and laugh at how pathetic you seem when you speak hehe... Tho bear in mind, the next two days will be a tat uncomfortable... But it passes! And don't worry, you will regain full controll of your tongue, tho rolling it for the few weeks will seem impossible...
