tell me how well i am drunk freestyling by posting or leaving a review on acidplanet.com about the song: Digital Oasis H.M.Z. - Fall Together

i kno some of us are down on this day, but hell, for you lovers, i hope you guys have teh best day of your lives, together, for eachother ^.^

I went to a big rally today, so I got to ignore my single (though totally by choice) nature today. Instead, I focused on important issues, and the pain in my feet cause I still havn't broken in these new shoes. (8 bucks and cute as hell!!)

The irony of this is that the Rally was about Other couples.

Haha, well, I still see V-day as D-day, and I'm one of those couples.
I find it tossed up that the males have to go buy lots of overprised shit for their female halves, yet no body expects it to be the other way around. It's yet another "Give me som'n" day in the calander.

If guys fuck up, we buy som'n. If we forget, we buy som'n. If it's their birthday, or month day, or fuckin year day or what ever, we buy som'n.

If they fuck up, we forget. If they forget, we forget... And so on. It's really messed up!

I don't mind givng her all the attention, let's face it, we're suckers for it anyway. But I do mind the media preassure, and general expectations about this "being the way it's s'posed to be". Why the hell should the rest of the world dictate what a couple should do. And why the hell does it ALWAYS involve buyin shit for the birds?
Answer: Easy, cause it's the market that decides what's right and wrong, and they want our money.

Further more, I remember the time (try 5 years ago, tops) when V-day was considered "Just another American market scam" back here. Nobody took it seriously, as all the hearts and flowers and shit just wasn't a danish tradition. But now, a guy forgets that, and he's in trouble. I've seen couples actually break up, cause she didn't get a nice enough thing... But did he get ANYTHING in return?
What the fuck is up with that?

Being nice to each other is great, yes! But being forced to be nice kills it! Giving something to someone, that means som'n to you, always makes people happy. But giving something to someone, because the world wants you to, and if you don't you're "lesser" just doesn't have the same effect! It's no longer a nice thought, or a caring gesture. It's a chore and adds a whole other factor to it. It's now som'n that has to be done with, not som'n you want to do.

I'm particularly bad at this tho, as I never even regard my own birthdays as special. I generally dislike the whole "we must buy, buy, buy" trip, as I feel it belittles the gift. It's no longer the thought that counts, it's how much it cost!
You can almost see birds who get flowers, sniffing them, trying to determine how expensive they were. That is not a tradition I want to take any part in, but alas. I, like every other person out there, knows that:
A) If I told her that, she'd understand and say "Hey, no problem".
B) If I just got her the damn things, she'd smile, and be happy about the attention. And let's face it... Somehow, we always end with option B.
