I'm sometimes in doubt wether to laugh... or cry...

I'm guessing this is a joke... I'm takin it as one in any case, but it does cast that old "Americans are paranoid" light back at the whole speck of life...
Read for yourself, and make up your own mind... Is it a joke... Or are some people really stupid enough to use:
Freeberg wrote:"The first two Terminator films identified the potential for global-linkage computer networks to send android assassins back in time, but the warning went unheeded"

As any kind of valid reason for worrying about anything?
I refuse to believe so... So see for yourself, and have a lil' laugh!

Heh, ya, TheOnion.com is pretty good at making credible sounding articles. More than once have people thought their articles were real, but it is definetley a joke :)

But the fact is this is a theoretically potential outcome of AI development. We could make a computer that would rise up against us. The trick is to make it love fast food as well, then it's doomed!!

No... Computers will never rule the world, cus of ONE simple little flaw!
It's all based on DOS... As long as microsoft has monopoly, the comps are dependant of us to reboot them... So we're pretty safe!
