Character Names Freed Up
The game launcher currently has news that with the faction patch the other day there were thousands of old names freed up:

Today we were able to free up thousands of names. Check to see something you want is available.

Remember, all name changing rules still apply. (ie, no nickname changes 20+)

From some further checking it would also seem that the old 'inter-dimension' naming restriction (that stopped you having the same character name on different dimensions) has also been removed and you can now re-use your Atlantean name on Rimor and vice versa.

Remember you can look and see if a name exists already using the People of Rubi-Ka lookup (although remember that listing is not 'live' but updated once a day). We will let you know if there are any updates.

well, now i can gimp on both servers with the same name, if i make an ew char. still cant use "typhoon" tho <---typhoon is a lvl 1 atrox that hasnt been in game ONCE in over 2 FREAKING YEARS. lemmmmme use dat name!!! its my name.....(Typhoon Flamegate)

sweet. There are so many names i've wantd to use that some damned lv. 3 Martial Artist on Rimor uses (and i've checked, same with Riviques, they are never on!). Finally, i can use the names!

Don't bet on finding that name ya want freed up now. I suspect this is just another wiping of names on level 1 chars and nothing more. I checked and Tomhanks is still a level 2 Clan MA as he was almost a year and a half ago when I wanted the name. (Tomhanks an MA? gotta be a Soldier IMHO!! )
