I personally don't think any ONE thing is to blame. Parential education is one (and in turn the parents), the sames themselves can be another. Movies tv school friends comic books religion normal books music and overall life-- these can't be ruled out either.

I belive that everything a child is Exposed to creates Influance. Expose a child to a bloody killer (game, movie, comic, whatever), they'll have a fun time. ^_^ They'll think it's cool. And it will in some way ingrain it's influance on the child. Little by little, these influances can stack up.

It's the parents or guardians duty to decide what their child should and should not be allowed to be Exposed to. And if they're not properly educated, like Xtrophic said, then they could be missing something entirely (although I don't know why, in X's case, the dad didn't sit down with the kid and watch the game to see what it is exactly he was being exposed to. that initself is good parenting, and no amount of uneducation of the rating system should allow that oversight).

So there's no ONE thing that can be blamed. Even though the media is treating it like there is one thing, one media, one game, that has brought a fog of bloody war over the world. The problem is that people are beliving that there's one to blame.

Media blames the games. Gamers in defence blame other sources. Other sources blame other people. Other people blame the media. ^_^;

I blame everything in a childs life! :P

I'm still awaiting the day someone decides to sue the devil, for being a bad influence on people. *rotfl*
