Good bye GSP, for now

Postby Firia » Tue Dec 30, 2003 7:38 am

Well folks, for everyone that didn't notice me say it in my birthday thread, my dad and I are losing our house. We're in some heavy debt and the bank (or whomever runs the show) is coming for our house after the 1st. We'll have a little while (a week or two) to move out. This is all of course unless we (dad & me) can come up with 3000 by the first... which won't happen of course.

Chances are everything will be ok though. The house will be lost, my dad and I will go our seperate ways, but things will be ok. I have a friend that says I may be able to stay at his place (he has to ask his mom first) in their spare bedroom, or rent it (which is what it's typically there for). In the longer run, I may roomate with my gal pal Monique (two bedroom apt).

My dad will probably stay with his girlfriends' place until he can locate an apt or something.

Chances are, if things work out the way I just said they may, I ~SHOULD~ be on the right track. My friends mom doesn't charge much rent for her rooms (less than what's typical for most Studio's). So, working as much as I do, I should be able to save mucho money and be overall ok... I hope.

My friend Vivien compares me to Job ("Jobe", from the bible); Job had extreem faith in God. God told Satan "Look at this mans faith in me. Nothing can break his faith. The Devil tested this with a series of catastrohpies and pleuges (I belive his family was even killed). in the end, Jobe questioned Gods motives, but not his faith.

I don't really feel the faith in god thing, but I do have rampant bad luck in my life-doings. It's sort of depressing. ^_^; So, in that way Job(e) and me are the same. And I've made the compairison a few times in the past myself.

But the one quality Job and I DO share, aside from not being able to catch a break, is our strength. Job stayed strong though all the crap, and so will I. ^_^

Things will be ok. They'll work out, and I'll contenue to live. It may be a while before I can return to GSP after I'm gone (in a week or two), but I'll try to drop a line when I get the chance, and keep everyone appraised of my status.

hehe well thanks for the offer. Mind if I take a raincheck on that? ;) Oklahoma is a tad distant, but hey! maybe one day I'll be making my way through your turf. Road trip or soemthing for when things are looking up? :P

Also our phone is shut off (and has been for a bit). Sooo, calling is sorta moot I guess. ^_^; But I can keep it for later I suppose. ^_^

Well, Firia, I wish you the best of luck in everything...

Times can be rough, but you have the strength a person needs to survive rough times. You also have a great community here on GSP who will listen to you, help you in any way we can, and otherwise support you.

If you need anything, whether it be someone to listen, or whatever, im just a PM away.
Yes, I have issues. And I am proud of every single one of them.

Hey I missed this, Fira, sorry to hear about what's going on. I do wish you though all of the luck in the world, and I have my faith in ya that things will work out for you.

I would offer you some room in New York, but that's a bit further than Oaklahoma so :-P. But if you ever need help, I'll do my best. Keep strong girl, and please keep safe!!!

Firia, I hate to see you go, especially to a place I've been and hated when I was much younger. Keep the faith, lady, and land on your feet. And when you do, set them on the road home to us again. We're going to miss you.

Gah. Well I've never really known you, Firia, except from posts in this forum, but I can somewhat relate - my own parents had to sell their house because of heavy debts, some 6 years ago, and only now are they recovering from all this crap and seeing the end of the tunnel. And yeah, I know the feeling of living in 9m² and stuff because bigger places aren't affordable, so... Been there, done that, and I'm crossing fingers for you in hopes of things soon getting better. Money problems are always such, such a crap... :(

Take care, and here are *hugs* for you

So ok, here's the update so-far as I know it.

The house is saved... for a month. Next month the whole things starts over again. And the trump card used this month isn't one that can be reused.

I've found a place to stay when I move out. Which will likely be next month. I don't think I'll be taking the computer with me though. It's my dad's. *pout* :(

My dad plans on selling the house between now and then. He hopes to cover his losses (and mine!), and I cna't blame him. There's already a potential buyer, so that's looking good.

Here's the not-so-hot news. Our internet connection is being cut in 7 days or so. Soooooo, looks like while I'll be living ok for a month, I'll be saying goodbye sooner than I'd like. :?
