My manager showed me a shirt last night that he got his friend for Christmas. Apparently this friend spends a lot of time hitting on girls.

Back to the topic at hand.

When I rate on the 1-10, it's pure physical appearance. I don't use the scale for personality and such, because I feel that kind of atraction simply can't be rated. Based on the fact that (pause; Blur - Song 2 just came up on the GSP playlist and I had to go max my volume) everyone has a different preference in that area.

I don't think I ever sat and thought of a 1-10 rating on anyone. A lot of times when you are in a public scene people talk to you because you did something/said something they heard.. etc, that attracted them to you. Anymore, I meet more people online, and therefore you are forced to see their personality a little bit and sometimes never see them. Hell, when I met Hardpipe in RL, I had no clue what he looked like; I never once saw a picture of him. Same with my friend Mike. Looks matter not, I am a very string believer in that, looks are just usually what get the conversation going, and it moves from there based on personality.. Least for me, that's how it is. Confidence makes the look too.. You could be handsome, and I might not talk to you because you don't look confident or you look over confident and cocky. I rarely am the type to go up to people and talk to them, but when someone comes and talks to me, I give them my attention, no matter what they look like.

And I agree with you ALL the way!...
Well, except for the "I rarely am the type to go up to people and talk to them" thing... I do that all the time... I can't help it, I talk to anyone or thing that gets within 3 feet... So be warned!

A person's look won't affect how I treat them at all, but it's still a basic human instinct to have an instant, subconcious judgement based on looks when you first see them. That is the only area that my 1-10 applies to. It has nothing to do with how I see someone as a person, just my opinion of what does and doesn't look good.
