We are waiting for a train to let our child escape, and only she will go, but inexplicably we will get on the train with her.

*snigger*

Something HAPPENS. Carrie-Anne Moss gets the UPPER HAND. Apparently.

::Pffftt::

I see darkness spreading. I see empty movie theaters. I see us making millions and millions of dollars anyway. Everything that has a beginning has an end. You have to try to stop Hugo Weaving, because even though he's a piece of software running in a simulated reality, he is impossible to stop. The holes are too big.

I see dead DVD sales!

Hi, I'm Hugo Weaving, only you can't tell because it's a different actor whose body I hijacked in a split-second scene in the previous movie. I mysteriously survived the botched attack on the machines, and so I seem to be a traitor, yet I won't explain anything and appear to have a bad memory. This could mean something, or it could not. However, I have a goatee. Note that the bad guy from the first movie also had a goatee. Now, please leave me alone unrestrained with your medical officer and this scalpel here.

OK

NEW NEW ORACLE
(rolls her eyes). Again with that? Look, I like candy. Isn't that enough to make you think I'm the same as before, even though I look, talk, and act differently?

So, instead of easily frying the machines and loosing some technology, humanity would rather black out the sky. Guess they couldn't live without the internet (and some specific sites).

Meanwhile it seemed many I asked related him to the Warcraft III Demon hunter, by this. ^_^

But yeah, those things are freaking hilarious. ^_^

Okay here's my counter opinoin to all of this, I've been meaning to put one here, but just didn't.

here are some disclaimers though as well:
1) I am not attacking anyone or their opinoins, this is just my opinion and I'm solely referring to what other people have said here (because soo many other people have said the same thing)
2) I am a Matrix addict - I believe very much in the philosophy of there being a dream world and real world added on with the fact that I see the movie as a combination of many different religions both western and eastern.
3) I am going to spoil a LOT for you.

Now... my rating for The Matrix is 5 out of 5. Period. The Matrix Reloaded is more of a 4 out of 5, but The Matrix Revolutions is a 4.5 out of 5 (WHA?).

Here's why. M3 (as so it would be called), was an ending... period. That's all it was. People looking for anything more and anything deeper into the philosophy would just have to wait because all of that has been laid out and has already shocked you in the previous two movies. Unless they feel like contradicting themselves, there's really no need to add in any more philosophy and a further indepth into it. All Revolutions is, is the answers to the questions that you probabbly assumed and had all along - but at the same time understand that even MORE questions do come up (explained later).

The Matrix being a great action film, this movie was a GREAT action film, not the best, not amazing, but great (well bodering amazing). The war, so to speak, reminded me of what people would think of WWII. Against unfeasable odds, and a group that have a "concentration camp", they fight for freedom. The humans with all of their weapons, and the machines with their weapons at each other head on, fighting it out for the survival of everything.

Now what do we learn in Revolutions?
A) The one is more than just being attached to the Matrix, but also being attached to the real world. In this sense I can think of several examples: Jesues, the Budda, Muhammed, Moses (so to speak), and the list goes on.
B) Agent Smith has found a way to also trandsend both world because he is Neo's equal. Wait... does this mean that a program can inhabit a humans body outside of the Matrix if they get a chance to.... hummm.....
C) Zion (as mentioned before) is going to get screwed like never before... again.
D) Machines experience emotions (love, empathy, hate)

Okay so yeah, being the one means that you are both have an effect on the real world and the dream world. And Neo becomes the blind prophet (he gets blinded in the movie). At this point you can call him what you will, any major religious person who has made a movement fits here in both Eastern and Western religions. But like most of these people, Neo also has to sacrafice himself. Now one thing I'm going to add in here is that this movie further protrays the belief that Neo is both 100% human and 100% divine (because he is both), something to be said about Jesus or any savior.

Now during all of this, Trinity does die (this is not a Aries moment, she does not come back, no she's dead, period.) But she does so after having her Vahalla moment. Having seen what's above the clouds, having seen Nirvana so to speak.

As for the war between the Machines and the Humans is still rages on BUT, they are willing to put their differences aside to fight one common enemy, and Neo does succeed in just this. Yes the war has ended - not the way that you think of it, there's no "winner" but there is peace between the two... for now.

In the beginning, where Neo is in the train station, he meets up with a famly who are also a bunch of programs. This family, a husband and wife, also have a daughter who they are trying to save from letting her run too wild. THey do this because they LOVE their daughter? Wait, a program feels emotions? Wha? Yes, something that was shown through the very first matrix with Smith and his hate for humans is now futher explained. The machines do have feeling and do express it. So when your computer acts up or isn't working... it is proabbly just because it doesn't like you at all anymore! But this also leads to a futher theory and questioning. For instance... if a program saves a file... is that file it's child... and because that file can usually be read by that program only, then do they have a type of love with each other? Do .doc's love Word?

Now onto my Agent Smith bit, which I have seemed to skip (but meant to put it here). Program infesting human bodies in the real world... WOAH, Posession!! Call the excersist. This follows along an idea out there that both computers and humans are exactly alike. So along with feelings, both technology and man are compatable. Wait... technology and man are compatable. Think of it... people made computers, in the likeness of themselves... how so. A computer has a brain, components that let is see, and interact with it's outside world, and take in things to add more information to it or remove information from it. SO not only can a computer system learn (installing programs), share it's knowledge (sharing files, or even programs between one computer and another), has components to work with it's outside world (keybord, mouse, scanners, printers, etc), and gets a cold here and there (viruses), but we (humans) built them. Sounds like a computer engineer is God...

So eseentially but the end of the movie, when the humans are pinned by the temple, Neo saves them and they retreat leaving the humans alone. And thus the war is won... there is peace. Those humans that are going to be freed, will do so as long as they want to be freed. And there are programs who love and care for each other (as the Oracle has shown). But the Matrix is still up and there's still some questions to be answered here:
A) The Oracle - Okay, we know she's a rouge program, so to speak, and we know she's here to help people though and understand the Matrix. she can see things in the future, but also she can trancend bodies.... WOAH! Hold the phone!!! PLEASE!!! Can anyone be an Oracle... human or not (being that we founded that programs can enter human bodies)
B) The machines - How will they determine when someone is free or not. And if they are freeing people... then how... will... they... survive..... ?
C) Zion - What next... has Neoism been founded, how do they rebuild, so they begin to go back onto the surface if they can?
D) Neo - Yes... HOLD THE PHONE! Is he really dead? Remember at the end of the movie, you saw a picture with a light still glowing from him, we've seen this before. Is being the one meaning you can trancend death. And the programs now have him, so what are they going to do with him or his body? Are they going to liquify him and place him back into the matrix or use as liquid so that those who are in the matrix are still fed. And if that's the case... and he is all divine... how long before we start seeing several people who are the one?

Okay that is my depth into the Matrix Revolutions. I know its long, but come the end all and say all, Revolutions was just an ending. We all expected more, but that's what it just was. And if you are going to rate a movie by how much it moves you... it did move you... because you were thinking come the end oc the film... "That's it? WAIT A MINUTE THAT'S IT?" Hate to tell you guys, but that's human nature. We ourselves like to believe that there's more to like, that's there's a heaven and hell, but when you die... you die. I don't see angels picking up bodies, or anything like that. Take it for what it was, an ending to a very great story, philosophy and added theories and discussions to the Cyberpunk genre.

PS. Don't kill me for typo's, etc, I'm too tired to do a spell check now
