Okay going back to the pay/sex thing do women and men receive different pay for the same jobs, I have a few links - there aren't concrete, but I dabble a bit in stats and always ask my self the same qestion so here they are.

So as a conclusion it seems a few things - a) in the US it is still an issue, women as a whole do get paid less for the same job - BUT take into consideration that they have children, or may have other factors that are "tradtionally women" roles (not that I'm saying they are right but this todes happen) and may not be able to work as often as men in any given year. Also there's a lack of definition about what people call pay - how many hours, that defines a full time job and what job is classified as what.

Okay, so yeah I've gone overboard here, although it is a question I've always wanted to read up on and wondered about. I guess SOME of the answers lie above.
