Noooo, scratch that. I checked again today, and it got buried, but I did find it.

Step 1: When I went there the first time, there was zero traffic. No-one posted for like a month straight.

Step 2: When I check it out yesterday, I didn't see the post anywhere.

Step 3: They apparently got a nice surge of traffic lately now that the bugs are getting worked out of SWG, hence my "hello" post got mega-buried and I missed it the first time.

Don't know about my account, maybe I just fubared my pword or something.

So all is well, they're not vain.

Just wanted to make a point... mmnn.. ok.. it's an opinion. I'm not vain... so were not all that bad. Like any org we do have some... unique personalities... but hell.. if everything was candy and sunshine what the hell woudl there be to rant about. And with nothing to rant about, where Tarryk might not get drunk as often... and then the parties would not last as long (proven drunk DJ's do it longer :-)

and that woudl just suck.

so yea.. mmnn.. i think there was a point... oh yea... if ya come to SWG... check out eclipse, cause i'm there(Beker).. and I have a horde* of fireworks and i'll give ya some to light of. Hows that fer a bribe :-p

Ohh... and of course this is preaching to the choir.... but Taryk and GSP Rock. I hope someday we can have a guild and listeners and community thats half as kicking as they have built. I spent better part of 20 months on Rubi-Ka and listened to LTK radio before it was gridstream. It took a long time for me to finally decide the game no longer was fun and to move on. Games are what you make of them... if they aren't fun... get your neighbor to smack you hard and change your perseptions of fun or move on.

Star Wars rocks!... But the game sucks... It's the mechanic's of it... It's great for what?... a week?...
Then it's just trivial and boring... Tho I guess the PvP bit is ok... If it wasn't cus EVERYONE and their grand ma' have an AT-ST...

Star wars is the tasty pie that was left out for 30000 years.

What I mean by that, as Tarryk ranted I believe, is its been done, and shown, so much...nothings really special about it.

I mean sure theres sidestories, and so on, but the real highlight is only the jedis, which is truthfully...like watching two mages with glowy swords.

The reason AO, or fantasy settings, would be more fun, is because we havent seen It so much (Like star wars) nor has it tried to push its way into the spotlight, to be pulled back, and try and push itself into the spotlight again.

I dunno, never took a liking to the movies. It all seemed too "Bleh" for me. That might bias it for me...but really, to look at Star wars Atmosphere, and then at Anarchy Online...its damn obvious that AO is much more a victor, as well as if we look at weapons (Except for lightsabers, they might be simple swords that glow, but they cool.

), characters, and so on.

This might be because we've had Star wars since 1970...but then again, look at Lord of the Rings. We've had that for even longer, and its still popular, and still quite new and fresh (Granted the fantasy element has been watered down, seeing so much of it come after the books were made).

Whatever the case, Star wars sort of sucks. :wink:

I wont say it totally sucks, but there are far better atmospheres. Perhaps it was made in mind of that time, so it was great then, but its not timeless...I dunno.

Now, some Star wars Games are fantastic. Jedi Knight Outcast II (Whatever the f00k it is), is very much a lot of fun, but its not very deep either.
