I'm sure you may have noticed that I'm a male, playing all female characters. (As evidenced by my sig)

Why? Because I don't want to stare at guy butt all night.

How about you, anyone else out there a virtual gender swapper?

nah... im not.. at least on MMORPGS but on Console games like TEKEN i always play female characters... in ao i play guy chars so people dont think im some Phreak but i would play felmale chars if there was no attitude on guys playing girl chars

It's just interesting to me how people will treat me different as well, because in game they assume I'm female.

Obviously not someone who has had some experience in MMOs and MU*s and who knows that people play different genders than they are in real life..

It's really funny when I'm playin, and my wife is playing a guy; love confusing people. hehehe

Personally, I agree wholeheartedly. I have an equal spread between male and female on my "unknown" alts on AO, and I spend a lot more time on the female alts, simply because I like seeing the female when I'm zoning out to a mission/quest/what-have-you. No desire to stare at male ass at all.

I think its perfectly fine, though I havent in a while.

Sometimes it can shock you tho *cough*lostcleavage*cough* but its still alright.

Whatever floats yer boat. My main on DAoC is a chick, because when I thought of a Hibernian Champion I, for some reason, thought of a female. Just go with the flow at the time.

I typically never play female... I've made a female char or two, but they never got higher than lvl 1o... Then I got bored with them. The only char I ever had was in EQ, my chantress, and that was mainly cus turning into a female ogre or troll would calm any group I was with and make them shut up, or else I wouldn't turn back into a Dark-Elf... Talk about MoB Controll! :wink:

If I want a serious char, I go male, mainly cus I kinda like to RP, and I find it always ends with some semi horny seductress if I play female... Might be fun once in a while... But get's old fast!
I'll just stick to what I am... Lol, s'also why I play Opi! It's the breed that resembles me the best.

It's funny really... Females VERY seldomly play male... Sometimes Atroxes, but it's more on the "Aww it's cute and dumb" factor...
When (if) they play serious, they usually go female...

Hey now...

I'm rawther female IRL. But I have a number of male alts. On Rimor more than half of my characters are male. Why? Because it's nice NOT to hear "hey baby, nice ass". It's really nice a lot of the time to have people assume I'm NOT female because I'm on a male character. When I'm playing Saint Boo or my female characters, I get a lot of unwanted advances, a lot of boys behaving like the mutant offspring of Beavis & Butthead and a lot of losers who think that female gamers are inferior to the males. But then, I've been told by my friends that someone must have doused me in a whole bottle of "asshat attractant". Luckily Saint Boo has a few corageous defenders (Cronick, Hiiyeeya & Express you rule!) to drive away the little boys so that I can play in peace.

While i'm male, I know how you feel. The majority of my characters are male, except for my Shade and Adventurer. The reason for the shade is, well, the tattoos, but i've decided to keep her covered up 95% of the time.

If i had a dollar for every time some "male" player comes in to "rescue" me and it ends up i'm saving his rear, i'd be a very rich person. Also, the advances, i know that too (at the party on Saturday, a fixer wanted my shade to "get to know him better" actual quote. I told him to try one of the other girls and put him on /ignore)

My pride is infamous. I will not stoop to that. I find those who play the "I'm so sexay, creds plz?" game to be reprehensible. First off, most of them aren't even female beyond the well-proportioned mass of pixels that represents them and second off... well... women who trade on their looks for cash and prizes are, most simply put, Whores. Why make my own gender look even worse than it already does?

/me raises one eyebrow, crosses her arms and lokks downright bitchy.

Hmm... That sounds like a direct description of Xtr... Oh wait, they sometimes browse this forum, erh... Of uhm, a to be left unspoken, organisation who's lead, everynow and then sells ***self and all the other ******** ************* dancers short to say the least... Oh yeah, and ***'s had a slight tendancy to do commercial about ***self and her radio stream at reets... while the DJ's were playing...
If anyone smells a slight taint of resentment here... It's and UNDERSTATEMENT!
