Underworld Costume

Postby Firia » Wed Oct 15, 2003 8:15 am

Ok, I saw the Underworld movie. I rather loved the movie. ^_^ Some people didn't some people did. I really did. :P

I'm additionally in LOVE with the Lead characters costume! Seline (Kate Beckinsale or something). So much so, that I want it. I want it bad. I was wondering if anyone knew where one would be available, or quite possabily become available in the future.

Not as though I'll be able to aford such a costume right away. ^_^ No, I'm afraid I must pay for the power bill, the water bill and the phone bill. I wanna stay clean, stay lit, and turn the bloody thing back on. ^_^;; So of course a pvc cat suit and coat would have to wait.

But having something I can save up for and eventually buy, that would be... mmmm. hehehe!
(I should probably save that money, or upgrade computers. But meh, lifes short. Live it up. :P )

So yeah!! Help me out here! What do you know? ^_^

Boots by London Underground, Corset by StormyLeather, rubber catsuit by Skin2. Costs more than you'll make in a month.

If I could, I'd KISS you!

But how did you know?? ^_^??

[Edit]
And what about the coat?? ^_^

[Edit Reloaded]
GEH! Skin2 doesn't have an online store! I can't locate the boots at London Underground, and same for StormyLeathers' corset. (natch, I'm still in the dark over the whole coat thing ^_^)

I know it because I follow fetish fashion. I can go as far as to tell you that those boots are in London Underground's "L5 Victim" model, black leather.
I know because I came within a hair of buying that pair of boots. Then I came to my senses and realized that if I tried to dance on them, that I'd injure myself. Oh, this is also the company that made the boots Laura Croft wore in her Tomb Raider movie. A lot of people swore those were New Rocks, but any dedicated boot collector knows the difference.

Can't really nail down the model name of the corset or catsuit, but both items carry a signature style particular to those two clothing design houses. Own a pair of corsets from Stormy Leather. Damned fine product. Durable, sexy and worth every penny of the 200 - 500 bucks you will have to throw down to own one. If you have to buy one thing from the heroine's wardrobe, go for that corset. It's the only thing she was wearing that is worth the amount of money you will have to pay to get them.

If you MUST have a sexy pair of buckle-encrusted boots (and who could live without a pair?) go with New Rocks. They may not be quite as slutty as London Underground, but they're SOLID, COMFORTABLE and if you wear them with the right clothes dead sexy.

The coat? I dunno. You can get a shiny pleather duster anywhere. Try shopping on ebay. LOL! No. Really. do searches on fashion, cyber and fashion, goth. Since the movie is still fairly fresh you'll see a lot of stuff that at least resembles what you're looking for if not the real deal.

Kates suit was mostly latex wasn't it? I mean they applied latex on her and let it dry. Something like that...

Stormy Leather Genevieve Corset:

Leather Trenchcoat can be bought at any decent leather store, Pleather is prolly more affordable and can be found in most "goth" fashion outlets.

Mmmmm...
I said it before, I'll say it again;
Girl, if I could, I'd KISS you!!
i like those alteritive boots more. The platforms on the first pair work for shorter girls. I'm already 5'11", so I don't need them. Plus shoes/boots that tall period scare me. ^_^

(it'd ruin my cool image when I'm taking baby steps in then, yaknow? 8) hehehe j/k)

All right, slightly deviating from the first post-- but to post a related question.

The boots in "American McGee's Alice." I love the style, but do they (or something very close to them) actually exist in the "real world?" I've found a couple that are "close, but no cigar" so far, but that's it.

Here's what I'm talking about (not the absolute best picture of them but it will have to do. I can at least tell you that there's not much of a heel on these, and that the buckles seem to be facing the front rather than off to the side):

Alas, no rubber catsuit for me. I run very long distances and do martial arts, and thus have the thighs of tree trunks. At least I can still wear skirts. :)

Close as I know of is... no surprisingly, another UL boot:

This boot also comes with a heel in a different model.

Sometimes I wish I was a girl just so I could wear all this cool stuff. Then I think of how much giving birth has to hurt. I'll take my chances with staying a guy ^_^.

Yep, those are close enough to the "Alice boots". Now I need to cash the paycheck. And get the other check before I place the order (OUCH).... :)

Thanks,
