I don't know what my mom's is..

But the one I had in Texas was SBC Yahoo! and the DSL would go down everytime I turned on my computer, and also at random times during the day.. just kinda whenever it felt like it.. Also it blocked the port in AO for the chatting, and so I couldn't chat to anyone in game for about a week..lol But it was better then dial up :P

Comcast.

Downloads are so so, not this "OMG AMAZING!" Sort that broadband promices...otherwise, it is fantastic in games, online, and downloading...the problem being every bit of time, it goes down hard.

Nice huge fat college pipe.

I can get as fast as 5mbps (yes, thats 5000 kbps) on downloads, but uploads are only half decent.

I love downloading huge honkin game demos in like...10 minutes.

Roadrunner off Time Warner Cable...

2Mbps down, 400kbps up.

Hardly ever goes down, always very reliable speeds.

I used to be on SBC ADSL, and it was ok, but the d/l speeds were about 1/2 of cable, and upload was maybe 120kbps.. on a good day. The connection was pretty stable, but their billing dept was.. eh... crap? (the record is 7 months straight with wrong bills)

My slutty ears have heard many..

From the screams of elves and humans, to the machinegun rattle of a hamster at a Mg42, to Tarryk's doom sessions, when one would consider him to be drunk. Oh, and I've lasted through many a high school lecture session...and lived.

Bring it on! :D

Ive heard a trigger-happy S.S. uniform wearing guy behing an airsoft MG42 once, and it was funny! He was yelling profanities in german as he blasted away everything in sight.

Comcast

Comcast = really big provider in the US.
I can't complain I guess. Every time I turn on the computer though, I have to wait about 5 minutes for it to realise we have internet connection before I can start browsing and leaching my life away. That's a pain, but it's fast.

The connection has to wait for my computer to catch up is the only problem. It's a ghetto system.

I'm in the UK using Blue Yonder (silly new name for TeleWest)... pretty decent 512k cable, with an option to upgrade to 1 Meg without needing new hardware.

every now and then it flips out for a few seconds, but it generally damn reliable. Longest outage I had was 4 hours... (excluding the 12+ hours once when I err... forgot to pay  )
