Hahah, great to hear.

OAV was personally the best, COTHK was....god.

It rapes and treads over the first story. Sort of like Conan the Barbarian and Lord of the Rings.

Both are fantasy, both are good (Never saw conan, but hear it is).

Ones an Epic, ones more of an action flick (Thats COTHK...morel ike any ohter anime).

Well Parn is more a naive Fighter....Paladins in D&D sense would be a mini cleric, and Parn is just a simple fighter.

Gotta disagree there...personally I liked the TV version. It was a fun twist on the original...every new character they added was at least somewhat likable, and seemed a little less "cardboard cutout" than the first set...not that cardboard cutouts aren't cool, of course. Oh, and those chibi segments at the end were pure GOLD.

Only real complaint I have about the TV version is what happened with Shiris and Orson...won't spoil(even though there's maybe 2 people reading this?) it though.

I do like that Spark had the skill, but not the temperment...it was almost exactly opposite of what Parn was like in the OAV, but it still worked naturally.

Oh, also...I HEAVILY suspect that Suikoden drew from the TV version of Lodoss War for a few character designs... Flik(especially in Suikoden 2) looks(and often acts) exactly like Parn did in the TV series. Unfortunately, that would make Viktor the equivalent of Deedlit which just...my god...

Also, the scene in Suikoden 2 where Luca Blight is ambushed seemed exactly like the scene where the Free Army in Lodoss TV ambushes...uh...that guy. I mean exactly...well, except that Luca Blight put up a fight that'd floor most gods.

Also, Deedlit's ears twitch a few times in the TV version. That alone bumps it up a few notches. That's so goddamned cute.

All elves are cute man....twitch or not. :D

You can PM it to me, theres not much really, I still might see it but I dont care.

Sparks was pathetic.

Thats the thing, he was every other anime/D&D most cliched role, the skilled but hot-headed Fighter. By Pharis, it is such a boring role, and done so much, that it is embarresing.

God, its such a gay role now, I personally curse out any time I see it roleplayed in Neverwinter Nights.

*The ending also crams in another cliche, as well as seeming to make it more dramatic than it should be*

The chibi part was brilliant (DOWNLOAD THE KNIGHTS OF CAMELOT TO IT! DOWNLOAD IT!).

The new characters were pretty good (Except for Cliched little cute girl Little Niese, and stupid hot headed fighter Sparks), Leaf is freaking beautiful and cute |\=^_^=/|

The cardboard cut outs was sort of a charm, really.

It was in homage to D&D, and not as pathetic as the Hot headed fighter rotine seen in COTHK.

I would have wanted COTHK to be a sequel, not a rewrite of the Original, then it would have been understandable.

A matter of tastes, really. I got biased from it...long story, but even then so, I didn't like its rape of the original.

It was co-created by Rei Hyakuyashiki I believe, the person who thought of the Chibi Segments...

Why Ryo Mizuno allowed his first to be rehashed is beyond me...

I hope you're right. cause I just get this feeling that at any projected momentum, I'm gonna ahnilate some poor sap. :P Of course, I totally overlooked that cosplayers probably develop a skill of sorts to reciving a glomp. ;)

Dude, it's not even by any actions of my own... Even online I always wind up becoming friends with the women that are well over 6 feet tall.

Guess it takes that to stomach someone like me, bwahahaha...ha...*bawls*

Seriously though, tall women are always fun. They never do what you expect them to...

As far as glomp resistance...I think it does get built up with each glomp. I was sort of broken in this year when three chicks glomped me at once with no warning. After that I could take most anything.

...and Ichyro, that orc remark was just nasty.

So getting nookie from this Orcky is nasty? :D

Tall girls are a lot of fun, since its not like a giant looking down at a hobbit. :P

Sneaky too....such as Tir's ninja glomp.

Hmm... I feel small again...
There's a reason I play Opi... I bloody look like one...

Oh well, to sit on me, you'd have to catch me, small size usually also comes with the added benifit of agility... Did in my case anyway...

I'm 5'11", and 230 pounds...yeah, 230 pounds. A testament to how much of an active life I've got!

Yet with all that mass, my muscles have atrophied pretty badly...walking around all Otakon was a bitch since I've got too much weight and too little muscle to support it...so now that I actually have a reason to lose weight(self appearance means about jack to me), expect it to be going down.

Though, it should be said for the record, that I carry that weight relatively well...I look kind of big, but people are always surprised when I say just how heavy I actually am. Should I find a way to get this digital camera working again, I just might have to offer proof of that. A robe doesn't tell much, heh. Especially when all the pictures are from the 2nd day, the day I forgot the robe's belt.
