Where'd the power go?!

Most of you probably already know that the north east United States and all of Ontario, Canada, is suffering from a total blackout. If you didn't know that, get updated here:

and what is my favorite thing about this? Most americans are such paranoid psychotics they immediately thought it was terrorism. Never occured to them that a power plant could have screwed up, causing a chain reaction over the power grid knocking out eastern North America.

Power plant screw up? massive super terrorist magical plot from heck? Must have been the terrorists. :P

I'd smile, but I'm too lazy to make all those muscles in my face move. :P

We need a "common foe", basically...

Awhile ago, the idiots of the world (I.E. Humanity) blamed the jews for every little problem.

Now, its terrorists...

My husband is impotent, its TERRORISTS!

I don't know about generalized stupidity really. Potential terrorism did cross my mind when I heard about the power outages, but I reserved any judgment for after all the facts had come in. So I don't think that everyone jumped to their feet crying terrorist attack. I don't know where you may have gotten that impression from.

I see you chose to cut my words off at a choice location. ¬_¬

I noted that terrorism was a possability.
I did not decide it was terrorism. I felt it'd be better to wait until the facts came in.

*agrees with Firia*

Assuming that a large group of people made an assumption is...illogical. :P

Any American who wouldn't consider terrorism a POSSIBILITY would have to be considered naive and narrow-minded. Just because the media likes throwing that word around to make headlines doesn't mean the general American populace was immediately crying "terrorism." *rolls eyes*

I thought (and still think) it was a computer bug/glitch in a section of the powersystem that handles the balancing. (overpower vs overload etc)...

Seems my guess was pretty correct...

whatever it was just blame it on Al queda... why? coz they live in a cave someplace in the third world, they're angry and they take dumps in a hole in the ground, that's why....I like this enemy-thinking, it's good therapy and helps on my low selfesteem
yes, the world is a cruel, cruel place and we all wish to leave...
