The Matrix Online Game...how will they do it!

Talk about anything!

hehe, s'all good lazy.

The way I "think" it will likely work:

Bullettime only slows down a radius. Let's say 100 meters. Everything within 100 meters of you slows down when you activate it, but you (and, as I said, your teammates if you have a high skill level) retain a better speed and rate of fire while slowed down, while your enemies that fall within that radius do not.

Naturally, this would mean that anyone outside of that radius, whatever dimensions it may be, would see you all slowed down. The only way around this that I can think of off-hand is that whenever a bullettime is activated, the radius of the bullet-time is somehow "shielded" from the outside world. Like an impenetrable force field that cannot be shot into (maybe you can shoot out of it, though, increasing it's advantage), or that none of the beings or objects within that radius can be seen by the outside world for the duration of the effect.

Basically, there's no way they'll allow BT to slow down the entire world. That would be annoying and painful to everyone else, and it would happen constantly. So in effect BT will not make you faster, it will literally make you SLOWER in comparison to the outside world, but it will give you the advantages that BT would offer within the dimensions of it's area of effect.

That sounds like the best idea and hte most feasable.

And ironically so, it sounds like it was inspired by the Anime X, hard to explain what, but people who have seen it probably get it.

Imagine if Tarryk is right. ^_^ You gather a gang of friends and spread out over 100m intervuls over a city. And you all hit the bullet time at once. I can see that being a huge griefing situation; rampant bullet time.

My guess is that it'll be a last ditch use thing. Like, in AO Dimoch takes friggin forever to return. So you only ever use it when you really need to. Eg, boss battles that look grim, but you just need that extra edge.

But I can still see it as a griefing tool. ^_^;
Provided tarryk is on the money.

The best part of bullet time would be if you could "strip" your opponent(s) of their clothing and leave them standing there in their birthday suits when the bullet time runs out :P Now that I would pay to see!

At the very least, watch the one entitled "Program".

I can say the same for all of them: "WOW", but Program had the bonus of looking the most like contemporary anime, plus the addition of the artist actually penning out an entire bullet-time sequence.

Mega-wow.

Final Flight of The osiris is awsome. (it leads up to the start of Matrix Reloaded btw, the others fill in the movie or adds to it etc, remember the kid in Reloaded? Rememer Animatrix ep The Kid? *grin*) not to mention of Enter The Matrix fillls out even more, what DID Smith do while waiting in that hall? lol...

Final Flight is by the same peeps that did Final Fantasy movie, but took the cgi one step farther, veins, nose etc, all awsome, the guys even got REAL beard stubbles lol...

I personally really enjoyed "A Detectives Story".
(I really love Cowboy Bebop, and it's the same artist, ^_^ cept I didn't learn that till later.)
I really like the detective theme.
Plus it shows that those that arn't linked into the Matrix really have to be on their toes when dealing with those that are still plugged in. Remember when Mr Anderson stepped into the car in the first movie? He had a gun up his nose so fast. ^_^

I dunno? ^_^ I just remember that I Loooove smith! :-D He's the awsomest awsome ever. And I belive he can beat Neo. I like that cause otherwise Neo is god in the matrix. And yeah, so what if he is. :P Everyone needs an equal or a better. (Neo had to bail when he fought Smith. remember? ;))
