Those are, to my knowledge, the same symbols that have always been in the matrix greencode, even in movie one. You can probably just see them a lot clearer now, or maybe there are some new ones.

It's no secret that the wachowski (spelling butchered) brothers are huge anime fans, and there's a 9-film DVD set coming out this year called "Animatrix" with nothing but anime and cg-anime films based in the matrix universe.

You can see the preview to the animatrix at www.whatisthematrix.com

^_^ I DL'd it, but because it's; a) A quicktime format, and b) my system sucks hard, it's all choppy. ^_^;; So I get the impressive movie voice guy, but everything is like still action. So I didn't really get the full juice. Oh well. ^_^;

everyone has the quicktime player,
and if u r using linux u have the qt6codecs (doesnt work with xine but with mplayer)
and if u use both u have both.
and it runs absolutly smoothly on all my computer/os 's

but i hope they will fix the parts which looks 200% like computer animations
like his fly over those streets and his fight against the 100 agents.

As a course of comparison, Mummu, check out the Matrix (episode 1) trailer. Note the same problem. Usually, the preview is released in an unmastered form. They're still going through final digital mastery.

But I must say, the car chase scene looked about as real as you can get. I went through that one frame by frame. Esp when Smith is jumping on the car. Very realistic already.

The fight scene with the Smiths and him flying over the city, though, those did look very cg-ified, and I'm sure that it'll be remastered a thousand times over before we see it on the big screen.

Firia: I'm sorry to hear about the low-end system. Trust me, I know exactly what you mean. Quicktime movies play HORRIBLY on PCs (anyone who disagrees has a computer too fast to know what I'm talking about, and never experienced the woes of low-end systems). If I ever find a way to make it play better, I'll let you know, but in the meantime...

Head to www.whatisthematrix.com and take a look into the "Superbowl Previews" section. In there they have much lower-end movie files you can download that will play much faster on your system than the link that I posted.

Or try Kazaa or Winmx, I found a good Windows Media player version on there. I think.

And as for this Matrix MMORPG I heard of, if they make combat like eq or ao... I will die.

Thanks man! ^_^ I'll check it out some time. And I think I'll be upgrading long before I ever figure out the secret to being super cool on the low end system. ;) In the meantime however, being on the low end does suck hard. Cause you get people that can't/don't sympathise, and just tell me about their better computers, and how much cooler theirs are.

Oh well, I still reserve the right to tell them where they can stick their higher end computer. Strait up their end. :mrgreen:
