I hates them, filthy tricksyes computersss, yess.

About 2 weeks ago, my system decided to die. Found out htat it seemed the fan was messing up, but seemed fine after. Stupid me, instead of getting a new fan, went on with the old one.

Well, it died again about a week later. Shut down computer real quick, go get another fan. Put it on. Its fine for a day or two, or so it seems -- Looks like something else was wrong with the system.

Motherboard was shot. My Windows HArd Drive was shot. My processor was shot, along with my IDE card I had (I have 6 IDE devices in my system, dont ask)

Soooo...Lucky me, I have a spare processor, motherboard, and hard drive for windows in my closet.

Replace them, and Im back up. Only downside is, I had to sell my soul to the devil (Read as: Intel) to get my system back up again. But, it IS faster than before, and my Windows drive has more space on it and is a newer drive (The other one was at least 2 years old, if not 3)

Moral of the story, kiddies? If your fan dies, REPLACE IT RIGHT AWAY. Processors + Heat = NOT A GOOD THING :P

i dont know for how long. dont count on seeing me in games until i figure out what is wrong.

I give up on building systems, i friggin give up. EVERY time I try, something always goes wrong, even when everything seems right.

EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Nurgle:

I appreciate the offer, but Ive been through about anything you can think of. From my knowledge and about 15 others that have seen the problem on other boards. I've stumped em all.

Im taking this as a chance to start fresh with a brand new system :P

(BTW, i might be able to get AO to run, albiet uber crappy, on my laptop. we shall see.

After much tinkering and cursing, I have it back up enough to play a couple games while I scrape for a new one :)

Found one of my hard drives was totally roasted (Lets just say that it couldnt even report its name back to bios properly...I'll have to hook it up and take a picture for you all, i laughed my ass off :)
