Shit. You're right. I'm thinking of the variation used on the third TMNT NES game.

You want to talk about gimped, back in the day, being gimped in Pong meant having no thumbs!

Yep, this generation has it easy, and the next one will have it even more. Im betting some of that "Learn anything Pills/Chips" could be possible, and everything will probably be buyable and cheap. Damn youngins....

Yeah, RIGHT. If I ever see a "jock" DDRing to Pink Dinosaur, my nerdly ass will personally drag him out into the parking lot and beat him to a pulp.

Come to Ga.

I know a group that goes to the mall to DDR every friday composed mostly of a local Football team and some cheerleaders.

Although it is sorta silly to watch as most of them have no rythm (not that I do or anything) however those lil'uniforms flying round in tha air are nice...

Ah, being 21, I remember when BBS's were still around. First chat client I went to was my freshman yr of highschool, only 3 people could be on at the same time. We always speculated who ran the chat room. We all agreed that someone put a computer into a closet and abandoned the apartment complex. Then AOL came around and Prodigy, alopng with others. Couldn't afford to have the access to the net. Then senior yr played Mechwarrior2 on MPlayer and Star Craft.
How about playing Duke Nukem, when he was a side scroller? Or Tecmo Bowl on the NES? Being the Bears and using that one play that gets you a touchdown everytime?

Hehe, a lot of times I would've prefered to have gone to college after highschool, but sought more responsbility instead... and they are the lucky ones.

Has anyone tried playing the new Contra on the PS2? God thats hard... for me at least.

Both the new Contra and Maximo are probably the hardest games out right now...which is fitting since they're both reincarnations of games so hard they became legends in the 8-bit days.

Good Lord I feel old now

Postby Vallikat » Tue Feb 04, 2003 4:57 pm

When I was a kid there were no PC games because there were no PCs. In high school we learned BASIC on our TRS*80 Model 3's and thought we were on the leading edge of technology. At work my first PC was a Compaq Deskpro 386 with a 40 meg hard drive and 1 meg of RAM. This actually was the leading edge of technology in its day...probably something like 15 years ago. There were no cell phones. I think I was probably in my teens when they had these bag phone dealies. I guess umm, picture a cell phone needing a bag larger than your laptop bag to be carted around in. Not very practical. When I was a kid you could still buy your music on albums (look it up, I'm not going to describe them because you'll still equate them to CD's :P ). For that matter you could still buy your music on 8-track, again you'll have to look it up. My description could not do justice to the joy of 8-tracks. When I was a kid there was no Sezmra or Angyl or Tristalyn or oh god...almost all of you. *sad* I had it rough. :(

:) <<Happy again because this is my first post.
