What do you want to hear on our playlist?

Postby Sprkly » Fri Apr 01, 2011 1:09 am

As you all know, GridStream is a variety station. All of our DJ's have their own genre that they stick to, more or less. Some of us take requests, and some of us don't.

But... here's your real chance to sway GridStream's playlist to your liking. Vote on the genre that you would most like to hear on our non-live playlist, and we'll try and balance the scales accordingly ;)

Thanks!

Sadly we can't play a whole set of them due to legal restrictions. However feel free to request them at any shows. I know a few other DJs and myself have them :)

Interesting results for sure. Good thing we have a couple DJ's that will play that twangy stuff. Not me, obviously. But you guys have fun with that. :P

I'm really surprised that country is in the lead as well. While it is clear that GSP has a good number of country fans, I would never guess from what I see at shows that it would be the top contender.

Maybe its just using its extreme underdog power to win (I like country). Which will ware off now that its winning lol.

its cause country is drinking music :P and its easy to relate to it if you actually listen to the words you can relate to just about any song in one way or another

Rap has always been the true underdog of GSP.

Don't worry, I'll make sure more rap is added to the playlist server, for the 0 people that want to hear it!

Also, I'm totally serious, wtf country?!

Giga's right about one thing - country music does seem to evoke some emotion in the listener. Apparently you either love it or hate it.

not really love or hate there's at least a handful of songs out there that anyone would like you just have to find you group as with anything else there's even songs that chai would like. country music is so broad its kinda scarry and there's many different forms of it, unlike most other types where you have metal play it you'll want to break things rap you want to roll a fatty and shoot someone dance you just want to party with country it can bring out the whole that you are if you find the right songs

Give The Way to strange music!

You won't believe me...
Classic music, jazz, game soundtracks, Weird Al, Creature Feature, Miracle of Sounds.
Did you believe me? I need to know if I was right.

P.S. Sorry for poor and embarassing English, because of which you, probably, couldn't understand anything I say. Thanks, that you at least have tried.

P.P.S. The fact that you can't understand anything in my post doesn't mean you haven't to answer my question to prevent my posting in this thread for three times a month. Bring some monk from Tibet or FBI agent to decrypt message if you want.

hey hey. Welcome to the AO and GSP!
Don't worry about the poor English. You're doing better then some people who speak English natively ;) We read you loud and clear!

Classical would be an interesting addition...
