That's hilarious! I found the last line especially funny. Totally gives it away, though.

I think most people ended up with Dragon. I did. However, personally I'm not married to that come launch time. I need more information before I can decide.

This looks like the right spot for this. I was going to ask if there are any plans for GSP concerning The Secret World, but I'll add to that a link to a thread on TSW forums where you guys can see that, there are already lots of people hoping to have something like GSP for TSW. Personally, I think GSP added to AO a feeling unlike anything else I've ever seen in other MMO. The post started being about ARK, but when talking about things that made Anarchy Online awesome, ofc it eventually led to people talking nostalgicaly about GSP.

Here's the link: http://www.darkdemonscrygaia.com/showth ... post516608

Seeing DJ'ing in TSW would be like....Epic Awesome.[/url]

PS: I did a search for the subject and couldn't find any related ongoing topic. If I'm repeating someone's question, sorry about that.

I'm definately picking up TSW when it arrives. I just have two hopes for it, though:

1: There won't be any of that split-between-US-and-Euro-crap, as that's one of my extreme pet peeves with MMO's these days.

2: There will be GSP in it. Like it or not, GSP was one of my reasons for sticking with AO through 4 years. Having something like GSP present in TSW will also help with the social sides of the community, something that's damn near impossible to find in other games, including AOC, which I currently play.

Hell, I'd say that there's no reason to go to any of the inns in AoC apart from questing, and even at that, I never stay long. Especially not if there's people in the inn down in Khemi.

I'm kinda curious about GSP's plans regarding TSW also. It sucks being out of the loop sometimes! ;)

Of course, I'm still not sure where my MMO time is going to be spent. I've been much more impressed with Star Wars:The Old Republic so far in regard to having what Kira and I look for in a MMO. We've already pre-ordered two copies of that game and are waiting anxiously for release.

That being said, the setting for TSW intrigued me from the start. I really do want it to live up to the potential, but I'm wary right now. I definitely agree that it's the perfect environment for DJ'ing.

I should have plenty of time to see how deeply my love for SW:ToR goes before TSW is released though. I'll keep an eye on this thread for any updates. :)

Ideas have been tossed around regarding GSP's presence in TSW. But unfortunately we don't have any information to give you at this point. If/when plans are made, we will certainly let everyone here know right away. :)

Yeah, GSP really was the only reason to be at all the social venues present in AO, and they were a lot (I still remember an epic swimsuit party by a pool with and ARK lighting stuff up with fireworks and flying around with a bunch of MP's). It would be a waste if all of those places just remained empty all the time. There were a lot of fun places on many other MMO's I've played, but there was no GSP so, either there was some quest to do there or the place was empty. They were always socially empty anyways.

I just hope that TSW shows up to be a good game so that it can pick up the interest of this crew :D

Thanks for the feedback Sprklygrrl and everyone!

I'm currently on a stunt in AoC right now as well. I don't know enough about Conan theology to properly RP in it yet but I am in an RP friendly guild (Jelaylia, The Grey Knights; Wiccana). I'm only a fr00b in the game, but I used some FC points I had built up with AO to buy some premium content stuff.

I did sit in on some RP that was going on at an inn in Aquilonia a few weeks back and it seemed pretty laid back. Some kind of social interaction like GSP would be great to boost the gathering aspect in AoC.

As for TSW beta, i'll definately be signing up for it.

Hey guys :). Just saw a new article released only a few hours ago regarding what's going to happen tomorrow: http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game ... tml/page/1

I'm a bit ho-hum about the Facebook aspect about that. Although I think I might bite the bullet and spam everyone in my friends list cause I really do want to get into beta.

As for GSP in TSW, I think that would be pretty awesome :). If that were to happen, I'd definitely put an application in to start DJing again :).

Cheers!

Yeah I have to admit, this is the first thing I've seen that I was genuinely disappointed about. I don't play FB games now because of the spam. I'm not sure I want to have to do it for this game. We'll see what tomorrow brings. It might not be as bad as I think.

some FB games aren't that bad about spamming your friends if you don't want to. Frontierville was really horrible about it though.
