BAWWW

:( Sorry to see ya go man. Big hit to me as I still do listen often despite uninstalling AO a while back.

I can't shake the feeling that AO is starting to really die now, and this just the start of a series of "I'm leaving" notes.

:(

Been a long, long time since I visited Rubi-Ka regularly and hang out at the GSP shows, but I still tune in to the radio every now and then for old memories sake. When I read you where leaving GSP on the AO front page I had to dig up my old gsp forum account and say that your shows will be missed Veld!

Best of luck to you wherever your travels might take you and might our paths maybe once cross again ;)

Thanks Tadpole! :) It's been a long time!

I want to again thank everyone for the kind words and well-wishes. It's been particularly awesome to hear from old-school folks I haven't seen in so long like Mummu, Lunatek and now Tadpole. I definitely have a lot of fond memories I'll be taking with me.

How fitting then that I logged back into AO long enough a few weeks ago and caught one of your shows. It was depressing seeing Valor Eternal completely dead, and was quite refreshing when I accidentally ran into Kira in ICC. Yes, I upgraded my AO account to all the addons just to catch your show on the space station, and quit playing again. Haha

Not sure how I ended up on Anarchy Online’s main page but imagine my surprise to see your name pop up there. Despite leaving AO so many years ago, seeing a message like that feels…well…best way to describe it is that it still simply “feels” and triggers lovely memories along with the emotions that belong with it. (I’m sure you will understand what I’m trying to word here.)
Thank you for all the wonderful AO memories I have and the all nighters I pulled just to sit beside you at your show. I loved how we could truly listen to music, sharing the feelings certain melodies or lyrics triggered, some songs will never be the same again and for that I thank you as well :)

AO will always hold a special place in my heart thanks to you as a person and the music you gave me.
I am confident we will meet again down the road. I, for one, am looking forward to it already.

With love to you and Kira,

Jhourney

Jho!!! :D

Please PM me your e-mail addy. I've been trying to get a hold of you and the address I have apparently isn't correct anymore.

I'll have VERY fond memories of keeping you up way too late and sharing my music. ;)

Miss you!!!

Seems that most of the people in VE have moved onto RL or other things. I know I did. Sometimes we just need to recognise that we cannot allow a game to take over our lives and we have to focus on that. Now I have something else to take over my life: my wife :P

As for Braedon/Veldron/Ashval (in order of oldest to newest). I myself haven't been around for quite some time in AO. I popped in from time to time to catch a show or two. I still remember the first night that you DJed and we set up the Opi cheerleaders. Heh, it was fun RPing a ditzy cheerleader. I still have Miissy but I'm sure the others are long gone. As long as you stick around here in the forums like I have, you shouldn't be missed (as much). We may not be able to hear you DJ any longer, but at least that way we can still chat with you here.

PS: I'll have to activate my account once again for your last show. Hopefully I'll be around and not too busy IRL. See you then.
Oh FAILblog, how you brighten my life at work

I too never thought I'd see the day; also coming from the way back before Veldron when you were just my Org President and Valor Eternal was still alive and well.

Good Travels, Friend. Enjoy life on the other side :)

Wow, so many familiar names suddenly showing up. It certainly brings backs memories :)

And I will also absolutely try to catch you last show! Kinda planning a return for the new engine update too, but god knows when they actually plan to release it ;)

Wow, I really should log on more but RK4 has kept me very occupied.

Ash and Kira,

Hearing that you guys are leaving GSP is something I never thought would happen, but I can understand that sometimes you have to move on.

Ash, your shows introduced me to music that I would have never considered before listening to your shows(Dark Tranquility, Nightwish) as well as rekindling an appreciation for older metal as well that I used to listen to when I was younger.

I will miss your shows alot and meeting up with both of you at D*Con over the past few years has always been great.

Good Luck Ash and Kira and thank you for everything.

Lately I've been getting very nostalgic, and hearing about your decision really made me think about all time I've spent on RK.

When I was still very much a n00b in AO many years ago, I was introduced to the existance of GSP by stumbling across an event outside Newland city that you were hosting (sadly I don't recall the details of the event but this WAS back in 2004...). Since that day, GSP often graces my speakers/headphones.

For a period of time I had the honor of being a dj alongside such all-time greats as Tarryk and yourself. In that time I learned a lot from you about dj-ing, and discovered some pretty kickass tunes in the process. While I often thought you would be in GSP till the end, I can understand to some degree the reasons behind your decision.

I'll admit, I'm going to miss tuning in for your sessions of doom (and yes, I tune in often, even if I don't have a chance to log in and attend the show all the time), and I wish you and Kira all the best in your future endeavors. Just make sure you come visit the forums (and the game) once in a while, or I'll beat you with Ashval's everlasting bottle of...water. ;D

So many new names I don't even recognize anymore... I guess I never really saw myself as having left AO, just taking an extended break... but hearing the news kinda made me realize I have. This past thursday I popped GSP on, and heard Vel- er, I mean Ashval (never did get used to that, maybe if I'd actually been there I would have) talking about the farewell show, and I was in disbelief. Your shows were always one of my favorites. Great music, great fun. I don't know that I'll be able to reactivate for the show, but I might at least have to send an alt in on my behalf. I always wanted to go to DCon and meet you all, funds just never quite fell into place. Looks like I missed my shot. I know this thread is for Veldron, but I just wanna tell all my old friends I miss you guys...
..stupid f-ing tears.... you better not tell anyone, I can't wreck my tough girl image.

I don't know what else to say, kinda like a lot of people, just a bit lost for words I guess. Best to you both in your endeavors. If you put half the dedication and commitment to other things as you have with GSP, I'm sure you'll have years and years of great success in whatever you do. *hugglez all around*

I am writeing with tear in my eyes, not only have I missed D-Con this year but to miss you and Kira on Thursdays nights has been the reason I am on depression meds now..They help but sure not like your show...I truely love you both like children ..and it hurts so badly when a mother has to let her Children go and move on in life.. I am just so sorry to have missed so much this past year.. I hoped that I would have been back sooner and am tottaly pissed tht I put everything pretty much into storage. I am glad to get to use Ellins PC. sometimes and when I visit freinds with PCs I can hook into I do but its not like haveing my own..

Nicki take good care of Micheal, I will always always remember the both of you and you will forever be in my heart.

all my love

So, sorta outta nowhere here (or the clouds of distant pasts). Sorry to see you going, Ash. I've not been able to tune in for a long time because I've moved on to other games and my own life has grown interesting (wedding coming in May. Woot). Good luck in your future endeavors and I hope that stepping aside doesn't mean losing touch.

XOXO Legs et al. ;)
