Fuckin jeez I hate goodbyes!!! Even if it's not really a goodbye yea yea I know... well.. doh!!

I will not make long lines just because I really hate this, because that damn melancholy mood appeard here and hate when it happens, I'm going to wanna smoke and drink, having regrets, crying (good thing I don't have any pencil liner on my face right now or I would look like a dumb supermarket goth kid trying to look like Eric Draven), and bah...

Thanks to both of you for the time spent, work and all the fun!

And Ash it will be the last time I will tell you this then, so for the last time (pardon me) even if I know that I was not THAT much at all your shows trust me I really enjoyed enough most of the kickass songs that you played to have made some of them my fav (and bands too that I never heard before).

I wish you great things in rl for both of you! Good luck!

UGH and I'm done that way:

 {Damn ya} // {Luv ya}

I hate goodbyes. Honestly, though, it's probably a little easier for me knowing that I'm not going to actually lose touch with you two or anything, as you'll always be true friends to me. Plus I have your phone numbers. Be afraid.

In my time spent in this world (that'd be RK4, btw), the one virtue I've always held above all others is honor. Ashval, Kirasha, you two are built out of pure honor. Having love for you is therefore easy and natural.

The most difficult thing about this is how much your respective attention to details was felt across GSP time and time again, and how well you both managed to repeatedly take the reigns on some of the most difficult aspects of org management, alphabetize them and file them away so fast that no-one else even realized they might have been problems in the first place. I'm quite sure, if for no other reason, everyone internally is going to miss how well you have governed our organization.

But that's just all statistical stuff. Like I said, I hate goodbyes.

I'll see you around, broheim. ;)

(P.S. Oh, and you're fired. You have until the end of the year to clear out your desk.) ;)

I don't even know what to say...

I've been hiding the depression I've been facing in recent months and I'm afraid anything i say right now will just sound doomy and gloomy because that's the only thing i can feel right now. i need time to respond fully. You both already know how much i will miss you.

Here's a glass,
to the Ash
Raise it high
and play it loud

The first time I played AO, it was not that fun and when my friends stopped playing, so did I.

Then some time passed, and I tried it again.

The result probably would have been the same except someone showed me ... GSP. I haven't left since.

One of the things I admired was that Ash was totally up on the currant cutting edge of rock, and his shows were both intellectual, and fun. Having a place to discuss music with knowledgable people was a true treasure, and I'll miss that part of the GSP crew.

Good luck you two, and tis awesome you won't be totally vanishing into a puff of smoke ;)

I have two thoughts on this subject though,
one good, :D
one evil

When you see the right path, you know it. Safe journey!

Someday you might be lured back! ;)

Wow..so many years. So much to say. Well...I can not do it here. I guess I know I will see you here and there and such. So I guess I will just say see you later Ash and Kira. As for Kira in special, I have always held a great respect for you and all you have done for the org. I know you did it just for the love of Gridstream. You two will be missed more than I can tell you.

I have a great deal of respect for you both in-game (in-org) and irl and you will be missed. I know I often miss your shows in recent times but that is due to my work hours which wasn't always a problem in the past. I can guarantee I will push my hardest to be available over your final few shows. It saddens me immensely to hear you're both leaving us even though you'll be "around." You have our numbers so please do keep in touch. I understand the Dragon*Con cost thing could probably create time for smaller group get-togethers. I Honestly love the costuming and event atmosphere as a whole but our money struggles were always decided by who else was going to be there. It scares me to think the main reason I struggle to make that event may change. When you were all almost heading west this year our D*Con plans hit a brick wall. I was glad it turned around and I still don't want to accept your presence missing next year. I cannot stress enough to keep in touch with us. We won't bite hard. Unless you ask.

Veldron was one of the initial DJs that had me locked into hanging out at shows. Tarryk was another. After all that time listening, I pictured the end as two withered old men DJ'ing until Funcom decided to turn off the lights on Rubi-Ka. Sprkly pushing Tarryk away in his wheelchair while Kira was struggling to remove Ashval from the then shut-off microphone. It would be time to rest at the old org's home.

Now the future has been unmade and Gridstream must now forge ahead without the experience and specialty traits of these great ones in order to continue success into the next graphic engine and beyond...

I wish you two the best in all your future endeavors, but not so good you'll forget about all of us, your adoring fans, friends, and orgmates. I will not say farewell instead I'll say "good bye for now and I'll see you soonlatersoon!" :)

The first time I heard GSP was a party with dj Veldron few years back and I think it was at Neuters. I have been a listener ever since, so I guess you did a good job.

I remember one episode a few years ago. For some reason, it is stuck in my memory.
It was in Borialis and a party of some kind had ended.
There were only 3 people left. You, me and I think it was MsIce. The DJ had a few too many drinks, and the the talk on the stream became more and more orientated against Opis and bodyparts. It didn't get any better when we decided to change to tentacle bikini.

Thanks for alot of fun partys

I read this post yesterday and I must have sat here just staring at the monitor trying to think of words to say. It's a sad day indeed to hear that you and Kira will be leaving GSP.

I remember when I first started listening to GSP, it was for Tarryk's shows, but later decided to check out some other DJ's and Veldron was my 2nd. I instantly fell in love with the music and how you did your shows, you have an amazing personality. You have introduced me to sooo much new music (Dark Tranquillity especially) and I want to thank you for that. It was also you and TK that inspired me to want to become a DJ so thank you for that :).

You will both be greatly missed and I know that this decision was not an easy one to make, but you need to do what is best for yourself. I know both you and Kira worked your asses off and contributed so much time and energy to GSP and I want to thank you for that and for everything you have done.

i really don't know how to put what i want to say into words, i read this post yesterday and didn't know how to reply or what to say, like others i thought you'd be around "forever" as you were one of the first DJ's i heard on Gridstream. Ash, to say you've been an inspiration to all of us is still quite an understatement. you've set records, your passion has been inspiring, your commitment and dedication has been one of the driving forces behind shaping Gridstream into what it is today. i don't know how Kira had the patience to handle the background/org functionings as well she has, again, another inspirational GSP'er going above and beyond to make GSP what is it today. i didn't know i could use the word inspire so much to describe you both, but it's the only word that really fits considering what you've both done for Gridstream.

i wish you both the best of success in the future and hope to see you around, look after yourselves, you will be missed.

I think I was in too much of a state of shock last night to say this but...

There is always a place on GSP Dancers for you both if you choose to go that route. :)

Bwahahaha!

Have you SEEN how Kira and I "dance"? (okay, that sounded wrong)

Seriously, the offer is very much appreciated...but, I don't think Kira and I will be in AO enough to warrant such an honor. And, we don't want to give you guys a bad name with our statue-esque dance moves. ;)

Oh we could teach you the moves easily enough. I also know for a fact that you'd never give us a bad name or I never would've extended the offer.

Honestly, I didn't expect you to take me up on it. It's still legit and an open offer for as long as I have a say in the matter.

I've mailed you privately Ash, but I wanted it to be known here as well.

To echo everyone else:

I shed tears seeing this post. Both you and Kira have been an amazing part of my life. And for that, I cannot thank you enough. You both mean the world to me. For the love of the gods, please stay in touch.

Here are the lyrics to a song, I find particularly appropriate for you.

The Parting Glass
Of all the money that ere I had, I spent it in good company.
And of all the harm that ere I've done, alas was done to none but me.
And all I've done for want of wit, to memory now I cannot recall.
So fill me to the parting glass. Goodnight and joy be with you all.

Of all the comrades that ere I had, they're sorry for my going away,
And of all the sweethearts that ere I had , they wish me one more day to stay,
But since it falls unto my lot that I should rise while you should not,
I will gently rise and I'll softly call, "Goodnight and joy be with you all!"

Oh, if I had money enough to spend and leisure time to sit awhile
There is a fair maid in this town that sorely has my heart beguiled
Her rosey cheeks and ruby lips, she alone has my heart in thrall.
So fill me to the parting glass. Goodnight and joy be with you all.

My love is with you both.

Front page news

Postby Ariensky » Tue Dec 01, 2009 8:32 pm

Gongratulations, you made it to the front page:
"DJ Ashval's Fond Farewell to GridStream·:.· :. .· .
DJ Ashval sends his fond farewell and steps away from GridStream Productions (GSP).

Sadly the occasion is your goodbye.
It is good that you leave, when you feel pressured, and do not enjoy it, but you will still be missed.

I wonder how my playlists would have looked like without you.
definitely less doomy.

Thank you for the countless hours.

Kind Regards
-Ariensky

This is how I will always remember you..

ok, I will recall the nights in the rumble-room even more, but this picture was from a fantastic evening too :)

Okay, that picture brought back some memories. I could have done without seeing Meenstreek in his boxers, though.

And, I saw that they had posted that on the site earlier today through Facebook. That was very unexpected, but also very appreciated. :)
