Bizarre! Check out the weird face reflection on the weapon of the person next to you.

That's kinda cool! That face reflection is bizarre but way cool. I wonder why it did that though.

That's a texture mapping failure, not a reflection. The current AO graphics engine isn't capable of reflecting like that, but it is capable of ignoring a cache miss when trying to map a texture that isn't currently loaded and displaying whatever other texture is in that memory instead. This is usually caused by too much swapping of textures in and out, such as large numbers of people coming and going from the same area and changing costumes and hand items, or by having too many AO clients (or other 3d app) running simultaneously and fighting over that texture memory.

Once the texture table is corrupted this way, relogging is your best bet for fixing it, as that will free AO's texture memory and reload it all from scratch. In some minor cases, zoning might fix it, but relogging always will.

One of the more humorous examples of this that I've seen, but no longer have a screenshot of, turned the ground of Borealis into pants.
Do not try to think outside the box, for that is impossible. Simply realize the truth; there is no box.

Okay, so that's what happened. I did have several clients running and some other programs too. So I guess my machine got confused. Yes, logging out and back in did fix it.
